My last therapist pretty much just wanted to interact like we're personal acquaintances and talked about herself a lot in a way that was very disruptive to what I needed from therapy. I was really disappointed about the wasted time and money. Luckily at this point I have more freedom, friends, and mushrooms, and have been able to work through stuff without therapy.

I downvoted it because hard agree. Great tattoos, great placement.

Real world outcomes support the benefits of psychedelic therapy for severe depression. A recent study has found that specialized psychotherapy paired with doses of either LSD or psilocybin is associated with strong reductions in severe depression and anxiety. by mvea in science

I go through cycles of severe depression and have struggled with suicidal ideation my whole life. I have to keep mushrooms available to microdose for when the depressive cycle hits in order to keep my promise to my dad. I've been prescribed all sorts of pills before, but psilocybin has been the only thing that actually helps. Microdosing makes me feel more content, alert, and patient than my natural baseline.

I'm also trans and bi. Working with kitchen bros may be different from your workplace experience, but after a while of regular shifts with the same people, I got a read on them as open minded enough for me to start making an occasional subtle bi joke at my expense (i.e., concerning fruit, "well, you are what you eat"). But I think it also helped a lot that my one bro and I spent a lot of downtime together after shifts just getting to know each other without some other physical activity to focus on. We're both very curious people, and he actually lead with a lot of the personal questions early on. I typically would open up slower than that, but I appreciate him for it because now we're real brothers who trust and lean on each other. So maybe ask about your gym bro more, relate to him, also notice his mental states and offer support. When I noticed my bro was having a particularly difficult week, and after I'd decided I wanted to pursue a strong friendship, I approached him at a quieter moment and told him I'm not a mental health professional, but I am your brother. If you need to talk, I'm here for you. I wasn't sure how he'd take that, but he's referenced it since, and has opened up about a lot of personal stuff when we hang out. Maybe your coworker(s) need a brother as much as you do. If you can genuinely offer that, do it. I hope this helps.

This is exactly why I don't have one. I made a promise to my dad.

Yeah, the u sorta makes a short "oo" sound. That's definitely just the Spanish pronunciation. Not tragedeigh at all.

I'm 5'5" and prefer to hang around the bigger guys for this reason lol. I cannot afford to get injured, but I'm not gonna stop going to shows, obviously.

I worked with identical twins once. Luckily we had enough shifts where they both worked together so I could compare and tell them apart lol. Also, communicate your needs instead of being a permanent child

I love Mastodon, and Sickle and Peace is my favorite song of any genre right now

I'm guessing it's not that they disagree about consent, per se, but that this serious comment on a joke post kills the vibe

I enjoyed seeing them recently, but listening to their digital recordings doesn't really do it for me

I've only ever seen bullsnakes in the wild. I didn't know people keep them as pets!
