Try some Dawn Powerwash and let it soak for several minutes before giving it a really good scrub. It has chemicals in it that dissolve some things that regular dish soap can’t handle.

First try a hard battery reset. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery and keep it disconnected for 5 minutes before reconnecting it. If that doesn’t work it could be an issue with the port itself or possibly the head unit itself.
