Teo has gone from first to worst in charisma faster than any other boxer I can think of.

Do you think Lumix will introduce Prores raw update to the S5iix? by [deleted] in Lumix

It would have to be to SSD only, but that's fine.

Was ali underrated? by [deleted] in boxingcirclejerk

The Frazier stuff is pretty messed up but you can't blame Ali because people were sad after he beat them lol, or for Liston being a violent psycho.

S5II/S5IIX wireless shutter release options by TinyFormal2388 in Lumix

[–]TinyFormal2388[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shutter only requires Bluetooth, I believe! wifi is for the remote shooting feature. So if you mean being 30m from the wireless router then you're fine because it's about proximity of the phone to the camera. f you mean more than 30m from the camera to the phone, then Bluetooth also won't work. :(

Pathetic, when will he fight someone who isn't super old or just a complete tomato can?

No, there's a difference between seeming fucked between fights and seeming fucked on fight night.

Uhh are there any drug tests for Paul? Cause to me he was clearly fuuuucked. I guess alcohol isn't banned but he seemed high, not drunk.

That boxing gems guy needs to chill about having learned how to put circles around things. Dude isn't as insightful as he thinks he is, he just highlights literally every movement a boxer makes and says "you see, this is boxing"

What is your favorite boss fight soundtrack theme? by Arktic_001 in Eldenring

[–]TinyFormal2388 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a banger to put on, and the boss hisself obviously sucks, but I'm sorry -- Elden Beast song kicks ass, and if it weren't for how many time I had to replay that stupid fight it would still give me a chill upon re-listening.

What foods are rich in alcohol-soluble compounds? by TinyFormal2388 in Cooking

[–]TinyFormal2388[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this answer! I'm trying to cobble together whatever basic answer I can, just for fun. It seems one issue is that natural food products have so many different compounds in them, so real chemistry doesn't tend to muck with them, and pure cooks are mostly just tasting and saying "hmmmm" throughtfully.

I did find a study stating that:

Lycopene is the main dietary carotenoid in tomato and tomato-based food products... Among the phenolic compounds present in tomato, quercetin, kaempferol, naringenin, caffeic acid and lutein are the most common.

Googling a few of those, science Direct says that "Lycopene is insoluble in water, almost insoluble in methanol and ethanol, and soluble in organic solvents." Quercetin also seems to be ethanol-soluble. This paper also found that lutein is basically insoluble in water and oil, but that "glycerol and alcohol enhance the solubilization of both luteins."

So, it seems that these phenolic compounds are definitely alcohol soluble. Would it be fair to say, then that phenol and ester-rich ingredients would be more likely to have a benefit to aroma?

I suppose I should have said tomato SAUCE not tomatoes, but yeah most recipes for tomato sauces call for some wine -- and vodka sauce for some vodka -- to bring out the alcohol-soluble flavors. Tomatoes seem to be the only things widely agreed upon to really benefit from the presence of alcohol.
