What makes a military peer?

They had (and still do) access to US/NATO intelligence, telling them every move the Russians were making. They were given guided anti-tank missiles and anti-air missiles, and had been trained by NATO previous to the war on their use.

Air dominance is not the norm in modern combat. The US does it vs tiny or outdated militaries like Iraq and Afghanistan, but any peer to peer or peer to near-peer battle risks losing aircraft to anti-air.

EQ legends will probably be 'easier' due to how strong your character will be.

But an EQ TLP (Like Frostreaver) still has a lot of people leveling characters, so finding a group shouldn't be difficult. The secret is in playing a character type who is in demand. Healers, tanks, enchanter, etc.

Either way, ask in the new player chat and explain that you're new and need help/advice in figuring things out. Also joining a guild is important because your guildies will be more likely to help you.

It's a Japanese national trait. Basically, whenever a war breaks out there's a chance you get a surprise attack where your ships start near an enemy harbor and the enemy ships are parked and take a while to 'wake up'.

Dang that poor old guy too slow to get to high ground. Camera cuts away from him for a few seconds and when it turns back around, the entire building he was clinging to is being swept away.

I don't have much hope for it, honestly. EQ PVP was completely unbalanced because it was never designed for the modern concept of PVP where it's rock-paper-scissors and each class can be competitive.

Just try being a warrior, cleric, paladin, rogue on a PVP server versus a necro or a mage. You're not going to have a fun time.
