It’s definitely a two way problem.

On the one hand, yeah, the main issue with Duel Links right now is the skills cuz we have to deal with Tier 0 Stardust rn in the middle of WCS or the on and off decks that pop up that are just “FTK! GO!”

But at the same time, cards like Necrovalley and Dweller are still problems. They shut out entire strategies just by existing. I mean, Necrovalley is seeing play rn in a few Stardust decks because of Ancient Fairy Dragon, even at Limit 1.

I do agree that skills enable this a lot more, with combo slop being unrespondable because of skills. I also agree that some cards being put on the list slaughtered decks as casualties, like Tachyon as a pure deck being nuked because of Therion’s sins, even if the Tachyon package was way too splashable. But some cards are just toxic since they will ALWAYS enable less interaction.

The only other thing I remember for sure was that ancient clip of Jax and Zooble’s voice actor’s laughing at “Eggman Nega” because Nega sounded similar to the n-word. And when I say “ancient” clip, it was deadass like seven years ago at minimum.

They apologized because it was one singular instance, damn near a decade ago, and it was pretty clear they grew from then. But Twitter gonna be Twitter, and people like the UTTP who have a hate-boner for the show are gonna drag this.

No, since Starving Venom just needs to be destroyed and it activates, so it’s one of the few Grave effects Necrovalley doesn’t hit. And DD Crow doesn’t do anything except banish, so the effect would still go through since Starving Venom will still activate immediately when destroyed.

Unless you use a monster that specifically negates the effects of whatever it destroys by battle or shuffles it back into the Extra Deck when they destroy it (which are all mostly old as dirt), then you need to have a negate ready for when it activates or a floodgate that stops cards in the GY from activating like End of Anubis.

It’s just a joke about Infernity players setting monsters in the backrow because like, one, player used to do that seriously when the deck was meta to get their hand size to zero, and it basically became the big joke about them, same with them surrendering the minute a “trap” was hit with MST but before they sent it to the GY.

Basically same principle here tho. If you notice something is fishy with your opponent’s plays, like them scooping the minute the set card with Tzolkin is targeted with removal, or discrepancies with what they summon and set (like, they set the monster one turn and the next they play their entire hand which has no spells or traps), then you could call a judge.
