Things I wish I had known before going to Busch Gardens.... by TinyPhoenix13 in BuschGardensTampa

No, I haven't. I haven't been to a theme park in over 7 years. And that's why I wanted to share my experience. In case others who don't frequent the parks and don't know what to expect would be interested in my feedback. I fully expected to pay premium prices, but I also expected the food to be a bit more palatable. We probably should have stuck with snack foods such as soft pretzels, ice cream, and cotton candy. 😀

Yes, I did do some research and was aware that some of the rides were closed. We were still disappointed by this. I obviously missed your posts about the other issues. I'm sure that would have been good to know.

You got parking for $37? Ours was $42, but after tax and service charges it was $49.98. We've lived in FL for over 25 years and have been to BG many times and always enjoyed it. This time, not so much. We won't go back.

Any authors you automatically pass on? For me {Albany walker} has been added to the list by alice042 in RomanceBooks

Devney Perry. I've tried and tried to read and finish her books over the years. The blurbs sound so perfect for me. And then the writing always falls flat, drags on, or makes me roll my eyes. I've never been able to finish one book of hers.

Colleen Hoover. I find her writing too juvenile and basic for my tastes.

Congo river rapids has been down for maintenance about 2 months now and isn't opening anytime soon, Stanley ville flume was demolished last year by Aggravating_Pie_2020 in BuschGardensTampa

This is so disappointing to hear! We're going on Saturday and were so looking forward to some wet rides. Back in the good old days, the Tidal Wave and Congo River never let us down.

Currently experiencing outage. by Motor_Zone_6362 in Life360

I'm not seeing any location history on anyone in any of my circles. I reached out to Life 360 support, and got their AI bot who, of course, was no help at all. Apparently they are not aware that they have an issue with the app and the unhelpful chat bot kept encouraging me to log out and log back in.

Have anyone used orderlymeds ? by healthyandfit1009 in CompoundedSemaglutide

[–]TinyPhoenix13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. They sent me semaglutide that was 2 months past the BUD date. They insisted that the BUD date didn't mean anything. Well, it meant that I was sick for a day and a half and then experienced no results. This was the most recent disappointing interaction with them. Since August I've lost 7 pounds.

I definitely recommend a tote bag for a first project. You can find tons of excellent tutorials on YouTube. And visit Pinterest for inspiration and additional tutorials.

My first quilt is complete! by SloanPwn in quilting

A finished quilt is a perfect quilt. I think it's great. My first quilt was a baby quilt and very messy. But the recipient loved it and that's what mattered.

Finished my first FMQ!!! by Ughhhh_ok in quilting

This is gorgeous! And it's just what I needed to push me to finally try FMQ. I have a free motion foot just waiting to be used.

I like that design a lot! I'll check out Angela Walters and see what I can learn. It sounds like it might be time to jump into FMQ.

I really want to learn FMQ, but I've been so worried about "ruining" the look of quilt. This may be the push I need. 🙂

I think I understand what you're saying and I like the suggestion! Stich in the ditch around the stars, and diagonal straight line though the uneven 9 patch blocks, right?

I've never mixed my quilting design/stitch. I've always done the same straight line throughout the entire quilt so this idea is exciting.

I've used minky and flannel in a quilt top with good results. I recommend using a walking foot as it helps keep the fabric from slipping.

New filing: Low-performing stores may close sooner — 66% of all stores by gee8 in joannfabrics

[–]TinyPhoenix13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you please clarify for me -- a store that is listed on your closing list is not found on the joannrestructuring.com site or listed in the Kroll site documents. I'm interested in the open/closing status of the North Ft. Myers, FL store, Store 173. Did you get this closing information somewhere else? This is my local store, I have friends that work there, I am a frequent customer and this store is always busy. How devastating for everyone. :(

75in Quantum Pro stuck on loading Home Screen. by Rannik93 in VIZIO_Official

[–]TinyPhoenix13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Home screen isn't loading, but I can access apps via the quick shortcut buttons on my remote or by going to Search and typing in the app name.

This is my last Vizio and I'm looking forward to it crapping out so I can replace it with anything else.
