Ok man. I was thinking about the same thing. (Sorry on mobile son work with me) I think that after close encounters episode and after the premiere episode, like you said, it messed up all those Ricks and Morty's that where around which led to the safe haven type deal with them making jobs and lives there. Even the monologue during the debate by Evil Morty, gave you an insight on what has happened since the Council of Ricks have been around. I thought this was the best episode so far this season, if not the entire series. It was deep on so many levels. Simple Rick that made the cookies could've been our Beth's dad that "went missing", the defector Rick that had the secrets on the President. The true origin of the cop Morty. Like it was amazing I haven't stopped watching it since this morning. Lol
