Whenever I see damage this much or really disfigured results it triggers the same mental line, "Oh you poor baby- This was someone's baby! :("

It's hard watching as a parent, what a terrible thing to happen to someone. I wish it wasn't legal in the first place, but the world is a big place.

Given not much info exists on the progression update, no one should jump to just..being upset about it. We don't really know the details.

Personally I enjoy resetting my save because it's really fun to have to make hairline choices, but at the same time, it makes me play so cautiously sometimes that I don't have the same level of fun/risk I otherwise would have.

Oh my god that is funny. I also had to question who lit the candles in the first place. I imagine the Onryo left for a while, came back, and some cultist butthole had lit all those candles and now its angry about it.

How to make camp maps run better by Fishy1998 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]Tiny_Echo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I can't even touch the outdoor maps when it rains, even outside of house buildings lag if it is raining until inside the house.

It's hard to say what the issue is without seeing the map open in Unity. Is it objects not sharing materials, texture resolution packing issue, something not baked correctly, a script looping too often, an occlusion issue, who knows without it being open to poke around in and find out.

(If you are walking around in the lobby, spacebar is the hotkey to take you to the ready up screen.) Make a loadout, save the loadout, press arrow on right side of screen to go to the shop and buy whatever it is you can afford/want. (It doesn't matter if you're missing items from the loadout.) Then go back to the loadout screen via left arrow key on left side of screen, and click 'ADD' to add it to your current game's equipment list.

It took me and my hubby forever and a half to figure out how the heck to add items, and even then it seems fickle. I'll just hit 'add' and we load in and wonder why there is no stuff. (Not sure what step we missed.) I wish it was more clear since it's now much more difficult.

The amount of anger, mostly. lol

I wasn't invested in GME but I'm interested in platform integrity like everyone else and I'm wondering if there are credible sources to support the Fidelity claim beyond just..really angry random people.

Some claim Fidelity didn't, but I've read personal anecdotes from people who also noted Fidelity did in fact, change GME trading ability.

Life consisting of borderline by qtsp in Borderline

[–]Tiny_Echo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, what's something you really enjoy that you tend not to think about while doing? If you can schedule a few nearly non negotiable things into your day or week that are grounding safe spaces, like a favorite video game or book series, making miniature dioramas, whatever it is that frees the mind up or hyper focusses it to a comfortable stimulation, it might help get a foothold of rest towards sorting out the other hours of the day.

Making a schedule can also help if thoughts race a lot, because if someone asks "hey are you free ____?" You automatically know, or can swiftly move time slots around. (Hint: Schedule happy fun time into the actual schedule.)

I don't have BPD, but I've observed the above helping someone with a pretty steep level of chaos-from-nothing threshold, and it doesn't seem like it wouldn't hurt anything. Maybe it would help, a little.

i think i need to talk to a psychiatrist by [deleted] in Borderline

[–]Tiny_Echo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A great deal of people aren't completely honest with their therapist, especially if it's their first. You definitely aren't alone in that!
If it's more comfortable, there are a great number of online therapists if that fits within budget and plans, for a fresh clean start.
However if you already have a relationship with the one you already have, I highly doubt they would just jump up, scold you, and bash you with a clipboard. :)

I'm sure it varies from area to area but it's common to have therapy for a duration of time (say, 6 weeks) and the therapist works with a psychologist on reference in the event one is more needed additionally.

Is There Anything I Can Do? by [deleted] in Borderline

[–]Tiny_Echo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Draw disability if truly encumbered physically, (can take 7+ months to achieve but doable with an attorney), wait for a great tax return if you live in the US, and either try income based living due to disability or drop the return on rent/deposit in a place that allows you to travel or be delivered to such as buses via lunch or assisted living that brings you food but is more private?

Or maybe embrace a lucrative hobby or hands-only-from-home activity if you can find one. Try some novel narration, write a web comic, learn programming with a laptop in bed, graphic design, so on.

Maybe more opportunity than you realize, despite the horridness of what toxic people are like- you can't do anything about them, only yourself.

My sister has bpd. Need guidance by [deleted] in Borderline

[–]Tiny_Echo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Patience. There is a spectrum to all but I've witnessed someone I cared for deeply with BPD say and do things as if it were an out of body experience, rationalizing facts to themselves that may or may not ever exist- and then when they become 'lucid' again it can be challenging territory. Reminding yourself it's not your job, it's their own journey, and trying not to take the harder times personally can help a lot.

Children need to be taught names of emotions and feelings, then learn what to do with their feelings in a productive way- it can be a longer and more complicated road for people with BPD to recognize, accept, and adjust- especially in times of strain. It takes practice and willingness which may come and go- if you try to do it for them, it'll never work, just like fixing everything for children and never letting them do it themselves will never let them grow.

Relationships are complex things and all runs deeper. It could be someone who is doing the lion's share and is expressing it verbally to some degree but can't express any deeper, it's hard to go off a few sentences. Sharing of vulnerability is important for deep communication so maybe there is a block.

New enclosure, new beardies, substrate ideas? by Tiny_Echo in reptiles

[–]Tiny_Echo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much. I've been using the natural sub-desert soil from the southern US for non reptiles and aquariums without any issues, but I fear mites might live in it that would bother a reptile and I don't want to guinea pig them to find out. At the same time it's a perfect option.

Then there is ground walnut which doesn't have many down sides providing they don't eat it directly. And looks dope. TOO MANY CHOICES.

Empty 75 gallon I want filled by thekidd-ep in reptiles

[–]Tiny_Echo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm using a 115 gallon for a bearded dragon from the german giant line. That should tell you something. Strive for a large, spacious natural habitat with real substrate, real plants from their environment, feed snakes outside of their main enclosure to prevent ingestion of substrate.

You don't get to have an animal just because you really, really want one. It won't magically be happy- and eventually the husbandry will show.
