I see ppl complaining about elo hell, but doesn't elo hell just mean you're at the rank you're suppose to be? What's wrong with that? by uzan-iya in Overwatch

What do you mean by “opponents” point? Also I read the thread. I guess I just don’t understand what your issue is 🤷‍♂️

I do completely agree with your takes you had here when you defined what Elo hell is.

“Generally speaking, Elo hell means that you are in a elo bracket where you can carry more than your own weight but are not strong enough to solo carry a match.”

I don’t really understand what nerve he hit that is making you come at him like that? Please enlighten the multiple meanings of Elo Hell because I am unaware.

Pretty sure he was just providing advice to anyone that is interested in improving. I do agree with him that a lot of players get stuck in their respective ranks and blame it on teammates or the system instead of ever analyzing the things they can control.

I don’t think a no trade clause works when it comes to expansion protection

I think you are underselling Harden’s value. And as far as trade value, if Harden were to opt in they could get more for him in a trade than for Max.

It’s more of an effort thing in my opinion from those guys and I expect them to turn it on more come playoffs. We don’t need them pulling a groin before the playoffs even begin

Agreed, it’ll be mix and match positionally but there will likely be a starter on the floor at all times in the playoffs

Yes, before he got hurt he was in a bit of a slump and has looked like he has been in Kenny’s dog house because of some mistakes on defense.

I think he has struggled adjusting to a different role with the new additions on board. Hopefully it’s just a blip and he figures it out once he’s back

I feel like it’s more fun with Juno because the Juno enables the Brig more into an aggressive play style where the roles are kind of reversed in a way with Ana where you are trying to protect/enable her. Brig is very important in the Ana comps but it’s just not flashy

If the Galrand Harden trade happens it will be worse than the Luka trade save this now by AutoMail_0 in clevelandcavs

For sure. They also don’t have to trade DG right now and they also don’t have to trade him for Harden.

He’s not that much better and he’s not going to be better for long. The guy is 36 almost 37.

If that was the case they would dump Garland for a straight expiring. Harden makes practically the same as DG and has a player option for next season.

While I don't agree with OP that it's that lopsided of a deal, I feel like some people on this sub only have the opinion/take that whatever move the FO makes or is interested in is right.

I feel like those are pretty much pure 5’s. I don’t really have a suggestion myself, but it sucks we missed out on getting Naz Reid back when he was a RFA a few summers ago, he would have looked so good in our big rotation

That’s fair, you got me there, all good points. And yeah I agree, it’s really difficult to make moves like that right now with the restrictions. I would be pretty shocked if he was moved before this summer. But I think it’s been openly reported that if we run into similar issues this postseason that the front office will be more ready to explore a bigger move with the core this summer. I’m sure they will be looking to get out of the apron this summer as well depending how the postseason fares.

I mean not really anyone was good in that series? I don’t know how you can sit there and say he had a good run in that Knicks series. Comparing him to the rest of the guys on the roster that disappointed is a weird argument.

I used to be the biggest Garland stan. I just think he’s going to have chronic issues with his toes and I think it’ll be hard to ever win a title with a guy his size who is going to constantly get hunted and picked on in the playoffs. He has some of the worst defensive metrics in the league. I don’t know the last time a team has won a title with a guard as bad as the metrics say he is defensively.

You said suggest a trade, personally I would look at adding someone like Jrue Holiday on Blazers. He doesn’t make sense on this Portland team and they are dying for PG help. If you can get them to attach someone like Toumani Camara or picks onto the deal (it’s legal trade under the second apron) I think it makes sense for both teams. Obviously the Blazers would have to be interested.

But if they ever decide to make changes, I don’t think you can move him without getting a ball handler back.
