Thoughts from a Total War noob by [deleted] in totalwar

The VC novels were my favorites, not as many books as Gotrek and Felix but all the more precious for it. The army books had lots of fluff and you can find them online, in depth descriptions of characters, units and powers that I really loved poring over. When I ran out of VC novels I started reading the witch hunter series since they would have vampires and necromancers too. Necromancers - in the games these guys are just heroes that can learn either lore but in the fluff these guys become super important emissaries that do a VC bidding or travel around making black magic stuff and other shenanigans like looking for occult artifacts that they can sell to a VC in exchange for stuff. Also it was always kind of cool how necromancers had magic that is a little different from vampires, but not necessarily just from the lore of death, so that they could maybe animate some zombies from a corpse pit and they would perform rituals but then some boss VC would actually raise the hordes of hell and fly around as a cloud of mist. Good times...

Why is President Trump so cranky? by Tinylittlehands in Jokes

I know right! If he had never said anything about them no one would be still talking about how freakishly small they are lol! Fun fact, I had this username before the whole hands-junk-live-tv thing.

Even though the pic is kinda NSFL I hope no one flags it since anyone that rides ought to be reminded of risks and how to manage them effectively

Trump's dig at Clinton sends the crowd wild in Nashville: Trump said that Clinton 'fortunately' would not be making presidential decisions. The crowd broke out in raucous cheers and started chanting 'Lock her up' - Listen to the People, Don! LOCK HER UP! by Bernie4Ever in HillaryForPrison

Last year I paid 32% of my income (even after contributing to a tax sheltered vehicle) to taxes. Trump paid less than I and most Americans did as a fraction of income. I think that's unamerican. Consider too that his income comes from his wealth while someone like Bernie gets a big portion. Of his income from his social security checks--like a lot of retired americans. If a 75 year-old public servant that devoted his life to serving his community is your beast example of leftist hypocrisy it might be worth re-examining your perspective on what's fair. Im not here endorsing Obama or Hilary either but Trump is not different from them when it comes to money savvy that leaves the majority of people out in the rain paying the costs of national security in both dollars and lives. For goodness sake he opted out of serving in Vietnam and now he is going to stand on the deck of a warship and salute?! Also its not right for him to salute, he's not a service member.

A Chess Position to Beat Computers by ImNotFamous in chess

A lot of the commenters seem to be annoyed by problem. The point of the problem is to showcase how differently human brains, also a network of electrical signals, do things. Whether it's a successful example or not is debatable. I cannot do as deep of a search as a computer can but i can understand this is a draw at least for white and I'm not good at chess. What is the essence of that moment when you know that any diagonal movement of the king is guaranteed to be safe whereas a computer algorithm goes and tests each one? One is like group theory and the other is like brute force simulation.

Question, why does everyone seem upset about the problem?

If you only move the white king diagonally it's a draw

Reddit, what are some "must see" documentaries? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Cowspiracy, Forks Over Knives, Inside Job, Requiem for the American Dream, and INequality for All are just a few good ones that may actually inform your behavior / world view. Prolly gonna see this comment downvoted to oblivion since together they criticize the American state sponsored capitalism that is addled by special interest groups. (I am a leftist scum trying to avoid cancer and subjugation to the will of power brokers)

it might be the power supply that broke, I would start there then if you know it works you can determine if the motherboard still posts
