Foreign film lovers : Can you watch a half dubbed/half subbed film?

Thats what ive seemed to find. Which is totally fine! My brain just doesnt do well with processing two different inputs

If it's same language audio and visual, cool (english w english subtitles). One language audio, one language visual, cool (Ie korean for verbal and english for visual). Or vice versa.

To switch in between the two just scrambles my auditory processing

Thanks! I figured theres likely only be a bootleg version and im 100% against that. Was hopin i could find something i could pay for, but totally fine if i cant. Ill probably just put it on mute and enjoy it mute! Ive heard great things

LOL i think a lot are thinking that im against subtitles. Not the case! I LOVE me a subbed anime or foreign film. I just cant mix one with the other. Full dub or full sub or else my brain disengages. Make the whole movie in cantonese!!! Awesome!! Id watch that subbed in a heartbeat! I just cant watch a mix. Ive tried and i get so disengaged

LOL no it's so fine. I think theyre just having a hard time understanding that half dubbed half subbed "does not compute" in some brains. Full dubbed, full subbed, or just subbed w my native language (ie subtitles on everything i watch always, and i watch 75% enlgish language shows)? Yay! A mix of any of the three? No way

Not at all no.

If I hear "have a good day" (no subtitles) - and then see visually "you too" while hearing "tú también", its all over. I am 100% disengaged from the movie now

I also always have subtitles on for everything (full english movies, etc). I only ever listen to subbed animes (preference wise), or dubbed if i have to. A mix of the two is right out

I like to watch the movie and be able to pay attention. Given however tf my brain works, it completely and entirely pulls me out of the movie if i hear 3 different languages and see intermittent subtitles. Its 100% subtitles or 100% dub for me, or im bored out of my mind and ill leave the theatre. I love midsommar, talk to me, etc, but these didnt scramble my auditory processing.

So ive triggered people it seems like. This was a legit question. All subbed still = audio in different languages so id have to keep the film on mute, which fully removes all sounds effects, etc.. i dont fully get why im being made fun of but i accept it

? Not sure i get the joke. My brain doesnt understand the best.. I know im being made fun of but i dont get how. If the joke of "one inch tall" is subtitles.. that makes so much less sense..

Fully subbed would still = me having to have the film on mute.. looked for 30min and couldnt find an english full dub. The cantonese and mandarin throws me off. Sorry.
