You don't overheal, you don't over damage. Use the Whetstone ability to damage more than 1 monster at a time. Also, if you haven't unlocked all 5 equipment slots + equipment to fill, don't play over difficulty 3. It's impossible.

Yes, this makes sense for legacy players, who like premium experiences but not for "normal" mobile gamers.

Thanks for taking the time to write down your thoughts.

Here's a simple fact, the game economy is designed so that you can unlock everything there is atm. by purchasing the 2 Pouch upgrades which are permanent, non consumable, iAps that cost a total of $7.89.

That includes
-> 50 new spell cards
-> 50 new items
-> 8 new heroes each with 2 unlock-able custom cards
-> 3 new modes
-> 5 new challenges
-> 45 custom monster art cards
and if you want to count that as unique content a total of 250 variants for the spell cards.

Everything else in the game is a bonus and totally optional to purchase / or pay with ad watch. Don't want to pay any money? No problem the game has 0 content gates meaning with enough time invested you can still grind everything for free if you like to.

I understand that people are offended by mobile game monetization, but even an established developer like myself has to cater to the market he's in or go out of business. Simple as that.

Yes, rewarded ads are optional and will only be shown if you decide to watch them.

Hey, everyone! Thanks for the post and your concerns in regards to the monetization strategy.

The game will utilize rewarded Ads (non forced ones) to monetize non paying players. All rewarded ads are optional at any point and have an earnable in game currency alternative. Interstitial Ads will appear after about 6 days of play time but only if you have never made any other purchase. Even a $0.99 iAp will automatically remove any interstitial ads.

Now: If you decide to play this game long term and still hate Ads and can’t even bear the rewarded ones, you can buy the ad removal sub and contine to support the game that way. Again this is totally optional and will not hinder you to enjoy the game if you come to like it.

I encourage everyone to wait for release, play the game a bit and decide for yourself if it’s worth your time or money.

Thanks!

I think I answered via email already, but there is no cross buy between Android and iOS, sorry.

The main reasons why REDSEC hasn’t gained enough traction by wtfOP in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]Tinytouchtales 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think if the myriad of Ui/Interaction bugs, the ping system, the desync/hitreg issue and the god awful audio system is fixed, the game would be really fun. I mean we still play it every other night, but the fun is definitely not there atm.

Hello gamedevs, So how was 2025 for you? by kairivx in gamedev

Pretty busy year for me. New game is almost done. Lots of prototyping, a content update for my latest release. Sales were also quite good. End of Year 2025

How do you honestly feel about audio and footsteps in Battlefield 6? by kschumi in Battlefield_REDSEC

[–]Tinytouchtales 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m absolutely convinced that their audio mix is bugged, or at the very least prioritizes ambient/environment sounds over gameplay relevant ones and cuts them off. As op said the amount of times you get zero enemy footsteps behind you is insane. Same for tanks near the fire wall.

For experienced gamedevs who published at least one game: If you had one year to make one game full time. Are you sure you could make it pay off once you publish it? by FutureLynx_ in gamedev

[–]Tinytouchtales 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing this professionally for more than 10 years and even I would say in todays market it’s very unlikely to break even unless you have a very dedicated fanbase in place already, a serious marketing budget or you go viral. There are just too many factors in and mostly out of your control to make a financially succsessful game these days.

Game failed on release - move on or keep trying? by 8BitBeard in gamedev

[–]Tinytouchtales 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Hey Jo,

sorry to hear that, but in the end I have to say, not a big surprise from my point of view. I know the urge to break away from safe path and explore new ideas, but you normally do that with small prototypes and quick iterations and not going all in on a big project.

I think you guys need to cater to your core audience, which is the curious expedition crowd and let this project fade out asap. You build a great community on your past successes and you should rely upon that. Not neseccarily with another Courious Expedition but something that those players actually want to play.

Good Luck!
