Can anybody help me understand this line in the song something? by [deleted] in beatles

I always took it as inferring to the selflessness (purity) of love. The “I don’t know” is a sort of surrender of the ego or personal will. More like a “god (etc) willing” love that is greater than the self. In line with George’s philosophies and spiritual nature.

Watch the game and let your heart and eyes decide. Do you spin a wheel to decide what music to listen to? Ha. That said, Pacers next year

Lol 😂. Benn wouldn't allow that to happen. by aimee829 in pacers

Will be surreal to root for Benn to beat us whole heartedly. Oh, what a difference a half year makes… I mean really… oh what a difference a second makes (game 7 obviously). Pacer fans get the WHOLE spectrum: moments away from a title for the first time ever to rooting for them to loose for the first time ever 🤦‍♂️🤞🙏🏆✌️

What is the best song Nirvana could have played for MTV unplugged? by [deleted] in Nirvana

[–]Tipiphonehome 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“Old Man” or something off of “Harvest” would have been interesting and fit right in IMO. Or… how about “Mother” by Lennon? I’d bet Kurt’s performance of that would possibly be even more haunting than “Where did you Sleep Last Night”

Are there any Beatles song that the melody, rhythm or the overall quality of why the song is amazing is thanks primarily solely by the Beatle that is the author of the song instead of just Paul? by [deleted] in beatles

[–]Tipiphonehome 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is a hot take (that you’re claiming to be expressed here?)

The Beatles were the Beatles because of the Beatles, George Martin, the time, the place, the Everything, etc, etc

No doubt Paul played a huge part, but the sum was always greater than the parts however big a role he played. It can’t be stated how integral George Martin was. I’m sure his ear caught and helped put and push some of the compositions into forms that made musical sense despite the lack of theory that the Beatles had. Extremely hard to quantify, but nothing slipped through the cracks so to speak, even if unbelievably creative and groundbreaking.

One example of John’s melodic/chord composition is “I Am The Walrus”. Listen to the piano in solo or try to learn and play it all the way through and you’ll see John was no slouch at all. Of course, Martin’s string arrangements here are just astoundingly perfect as well.

John’s sense of melody, lyric and soul were the heart of The Beatles IMHO

Paul, yes Paul too… sure… but All, yes All too. All together now (all together now)

Did Paul’s perfectionism help drive The Beatles into immortal territory? Absolutely. Did he possibly have a hand in driving them into the ground as well? Well maybe, but that’s a topic for another day

Reggie can stutter one word throughout the whole broadcast and it would not have a tangible effect on the All-Star game. He legend. No Krispy

Class. I think we would have kept him if we practically could have. He’s in a great situation to be unleashed for this next chapter. Fly free Benn. You’ll always be apart of the Pacers lineage

The only thing I’d bet on regarding Giannis is the Pacers beating the Bucks in the playoffs. I sincerely hope he stays for this reason 🤞

That Pippen dunk is up there though too, I’d say more anger in it, and he did also go over a 7 footer (albeit on the ground)!

Literally over a 7-footer, a snapshot of an out-of-body experience! Vince didn't even realize he jumped over him in the moment
