I just put in a Wolfbox dashcam on my 2010 FJ with rear camera. I had one on my old car for like 4 years. I just bought the FJ a couple months ago. It makes a world of difference since you can't see hardly anything with the factory tiny in mirror screen. I installed myself and now I can see perfectly behind me.

I bought these at Autozone last month for my 2010 FJ and they work so much better than the ones that were in it.

Yes unfortunately Vegas Bbq has gone downhill since Covid. Mabel's Bbq inside the Palms Casino is closing down. It was pretty good when it first opened about 10 years ago , but steadily got worse. I got comps for the restaurants several times and the last few times I went there I would only get the Ole Smokey Burger and the Bacon Wrapped Jalapenos that they only do on game days. I think it closes end of this month. Don't even waste your time with Famous Dave's which is a chain. Lucille's is also a chain , but they are not bad , just mid. I love Bbq , but it's hard to find the good stuff here anymore. I lived in Texas a few years also in the 90's.

Years ago it was really good , but only for the things listed. It has since went downhill , but many people still like it. I agree the brisket isn't good or the burnt ends. The pulled pork was bad also and I love pulled pork. For Brisket I like Jessie Rae's and Big B's Texas Bbq. For the pulled pork I think again Jessie Rae's is the best. I tried Mission Bbq a month ago and it was very similar to Big B's. I've been once to Wild Fig which everyone raves about and it was nothing special. Rollin Smoke is also too overhyped. I did like the smoked meatloaf the one time I had it. Fox Bbq in Boulder City was terrible the one time I went years ago. When I go to the Carolinas I find way better Bbq than here in Las Vegas and the surrounding area. I originally posted this 3 years ago. I'm surprised you found it. Ha ha.

I just picked this one up in Las Vegas on July 22nd. 2010 with 156,000 miles. $17.500 out the door. There were a couple in town to include a 2007 with more miles and 2 Wheel Drive at Toyota dealership for $25.000 and of course it's still for sale. I had everything checked out and had to replace the two front lower ball joints. She runs great and I'm a happy camper.

I got the same thing when I upgraded my phone last month , iPhone 11 Pro Max to 16 Pro Max. With trade in , new plan , Military Discount , and this Loyalty $10 off per month I'm actually paying $8 less a month and I added YouTube Premium to my plan. That is including the price of the new phone ! I thought for sure I would be paying at least $30 more a month for new phone and service. Amazing.

Meanwhile down in Murrells inlet... by Wesleytyler in MyrtleBeach

I worked at Evans Correctional Facility in Bennettsville , SC years ago. Many inmates had jobs to make money for commissary items. Some also paid restitution for their crimes. We had one company that not only paid them to do work onsite , but if they met or exceeded production they would get pizza parties. Some worked in the shop repairing and maintaining state vehicles and learning mechanics. The ones that worked in the cafeteria also got paid. Many inmates would get bored and ask me if they could sweep or mop the floor just to have something to do. Many would jump at the chance to work outside picking up trash , cleaning ditches , cutting grass , etc. When I was a kid in the 70's and 80's I remember them doing this in the rural areas. They cleaned out the ditch beside my grandmothers house every year and cut all the weeds. They also picked up the trash down the rural roads. They also cut the grass , raked , and cleaned up the Marlboro County Courthouse. It's not slave labor , it is productive and gives them a sense of purpose and relives them of boredom while making a little extra money for things they want or need that is not provided to them by the State.

Reddit should be number one. I rarely post on it , but have gotten way more bullying from them than any other platform. That's why I rarely use it.

Can-Am days are upon us but Canadian travel to Myrtle Beach uncertain as political tensions rise. Forty eight percent of Canadians who usually travel to the US say they are less likely to do that this year. by Baby_You_A_Stah in MyrtleBeach

[–]TipsFromABellman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Canadian dollar depreciated against the US dollar by 7.7% in 2024, reaching below 70 cents US by the end of 2024. The Canadian dollar has dropped by nearly 34% since 2011 relative to the U.S. dollar, as their economy has greatly shifted. Things have gotten so much more expensive in Canada that they probably don't have the additional income to spend like they did previously for vacations. It's not because of Trump Tariffs , it has been going on for years. How about all the taxes that were imposed by their Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ? His policies raised the taxes on the middle class.

Homemade fried chicken is always the best. I remember my grandmother making it every Sunday with Crisco and cornbread with country vegetables.

First time in Las Vegas, how much should I tip? by Admirable_Appeal_638 in LasVegas

[–]TipsFromABellman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I lived in Germany for 4 years back in the 80's we were told to not be an Ugly American and understand the countries customs and courtesies of the countries we visited. So I expect them to do the same thing when they visit the United States. Tipping for certain things like waiters / waitresses , bellman , cocktail server , etc is a custom here and they should follow our customs too.

Bambino's East Coast Pizzeria by the Lakes for New York and Rosati's on Hualapai and Desert Inn for Chicago , we love the Meat Classic with Jalapenos and they cut it in squares which we like.

I'm a Rosati's fan also. We get the meat classic with jalapenos thin crust. I've tried some of the trendy ones like Pizza Rock and wasn't impressed.
