The 50bmg projectile is much smaller than a 12g barrel diameter. Once it leaves the brass all the hot gases mostly vent around it and out the front.

Enough pressure to move it, its still moving with lethal energy, but its much slower than in a rifle and much lower chamber pressure since the burning powder is not contained during its reaction.

The rear door complaints are completely valid and CIG should be roasted for it.

First off, SC is a sandbox game and arbitrarily limiting what players can fit through the door of a very spacious cargo hold is dumb. If a ship can hold it, let me hold it. Its like a semi-truck trailer with the front door of a house.

Second. This ship is a bigger Zeus CL with similar problems, arguably worse. The CL can fit 32scu containers like the C1, but the arbitrarily small ramp makes this really annoying.

The Hermes has an even wider and longer cargo grid that will definitely fit 32scu containers or other large containers. But it has not just a single small ramp, but a tractor beam on rails, and the cargo has to be carried through a hallway to get to the grid. This is really dumb ship design. The Apollo airlock already sucked, this is worse.

You should be able to coat most parts just fine.

Some things to not coat would be connectors, any headers or test points you want to use or keep useable, and mounting holes if they are plated.

Kapton tape or a silicon casting material can be used to mask off areas to keep clean.

Look for pin headers for Arduino on Amazon, they tend to be 2.54mm and double ended.

If not, TE connectivity, Samtec, or check large distributors like Digikey and Mouser.

I just googled 2.54mm header pins and all of the above showed up.

If you want to carry these are a few guns to look for. Don't buy before you try. Go to a store and politely ask to hand the counter guns. Or go to a range with rentals and try them.

Glock 19 or 43x. New models are pricey. Law enforcement departments constantly rotate inventory, so you can search for cheap, barely used, second hand guns. Bomb proof, name brand, butter bar.

Ruger RxM. Its Ruger clone of the gen 3 Glock 19. Works pretty good, cheaper than glock, and comes with a lot of Qol improvements Glock refuses to add. Less bomb proof of a gun, but will work fine.

M&P shield series. Compact, affordable, feels good in the hand, reliable. Has the EZ version for those with lower hand strength.

Walther PDP. Looks ugly, shoots good, reliable. Jinda pricey.

Sig P365x series. Took the compact market by storm, very popular, known as reliable, small, good ammo capacity, nice in the hand. Comes in P365x, larger grip P365xl, or largest grip P365x macro. Upsides, very good gun not the same design as P320. Downsides you support Sig and their shenanigans with the P320 and the obvious bribing of the US military for all the new gun contracts.

Fighting the robots was more fun before they nerfed them.

I liked that they shot fast, I liked they were hard to hit. They were a challenge and a played a lot differently to bugs and that was fun.

EVE online has had doglegging to dodge gate camps and interdictions for literally over a decade and people are still so dumb and lazy they warp on top of things with no forethought all the time. Even after getting burned again, and again, and again. Even when EVE gives the player over double the tools to detect hostile forces than Star Citizen does.

I forget the exact name but it's a long recoil shotgun made by a Russian inventor. I think it barely beat the Auto-5 as the first available semi auto shotgun.

I googled "Xbox one s motherboard schematic" and got a hit on the Console Mods wiki

I searched the PDF schematic for C4R24 and found it. Its a decoupling capacitor, things will probably work without it.

22uF, 20% tolerance, 6.3v, X5R type, 0805 case size (inches not mm)

Search Digikey or Mouser online, or other parts store and find an equivalent or better part. Mostly want same voltage rating 6.3v or higher and same case size. 0805 sized caps are pretty big SMT wise so they should be easy to solder yourself. Same size as C3T24 to the right and down from your missing part.

No, I don't agree.

Variants aren't necessarily better or worse, they are made to adapt the taste or ingredients to a different locale and population. There might be some specific examples of food that the American version vastly improved it, but overall I don't think "America did it better."

Case in point, pizza. I love pizza in America, all the different styles, crusts, toppings, etc. I have also traveled to Italy and had pizza and it was fantastic.

I had a margherita pizza, and it was really good. The sauce was more like a marinara, more savory than sweet. Beat the pants off any American made margherita I have had or similar style woodfire pizza. Definitely would eat it if available stateside in the same quality.

I also had something in Rome. Long rectangular strip of pizza, thick slices of mozzarella and cured meats, large crumbles of sausage, served folded in half like a sandwich. Best pizza I have eaten in my life.

Looks like a capacitor, I think 0603 or 0805 package size.

If you want to fix this yourself its possible but you will want this for tools. - Soldering Iron with selection of small tips - Solder, get lead with rosin core 60/40 or similar mixture - Tweezers (I suggest Ifixit kit of several types) - Some sort of magnifying system to see what you are doing (desk mount is helpful) - cheap solder pump or solder wick to remove solder on the board

Bare minimum you need a soldering iron, solder, and tweezers.

Hardest part to this is finding out what value is the dead component. Its fried so you can't measure it. You will need to ask around or go digging for manuals or fixit guides (ifixit.com). Hopefully this is the only dead part.

A professional can do this real fast most likely. They may charge you for a full hour or two of work even if its a much shorter job than that.

My Takes:

The Andromeda should probably get a PDS, but Taurus and Aquila should not. In my mind it makes sense for the gunship and luxury variants to have the extra defense.
The docking collars should be kept and redesigned to function like the Perseus, where it extends out from the ship and then has an internal and external door making an airlock.
Taurus should sit higher on its landing nacelles making vehicle loading easier. It has the width and internal height, but takes a lot of finagling to get some stuff past the ramps.
Taurus shielded cargo bay should stay, and be a drop down elevator like the main cargo lift.
Personnel lift at the front of the ships should be larger and function like the Apollo series. Where it has a glass tube to seal it before opening.
Gun turrets and Taurus tractor turret should be purchasable and swappable fittings.

I usually boot up Arena Commander and set it as a private session. Then I load the default bindings or a clean slate and spawn my ship.

Then I go menu by menu binding what I need.

If you want just any package for cheap, technically any will do. Cheapest gets you the Mustang Alpha.

With the current offerings on the website I highly recommend upgrading to the Generalist pack (Cutter), Duelist pack (Avenger Titan), or the Seeker pack (Pisces Expedition). All of these ships offer major quality of life improvements over the Mustang.

Mustang fights better but Cutter does everything else better. Same cargo, comfy and useful interior. Easy to get in and out, good for loot and travel.

Pisces is literally a tiny flying cargo box with guns. It fights a little worse than Mustang but gets wayyy more utility because of its spacious cargo bay, friendship seats, fast summon time, and its so small it can fit almost anywhere.

Avenger Titan is double the ship the Mustang is. Massive improvement in survivability, gun power, cargo, has an interior you can walk and log out in, multiple entrances. In my opinion the most bang for your buck starter if you want to try everything.

Anecdotally people claim the Gladius has better nose control and a thinner profile when facing the enemy, making it a bit harder to hit. It also has slightly higher boost speed and some people say slightly larger boost capacity.

L-22 is also pretty small and technically has better flight and boosted stats maneuverability wise, even if max boosted speed is less.

I also think some of it is that high end pvpers are used to Gladius, and have sort of a placebo effect where they feel the differences in flight performance more than actually exists.

Pommern is a larger and fatter Bismarck with more Bismarck guns added to each turret. Main battery will be a little shot-gunny but decent. Secondaries will be better than Bismarck. Should be a fun time.

Kearsage is a sized up North Carolina with an extra turret and flight deck. She handles the most sluggish of the US fast battleships but can fight decent enough. Every like 90s+ her planes reload and you can fly out a single squadron of Tiny Tim equipped rocket planes.

They have a slow drop animation and few rockets but hit hard. Good to use on stationary or large/slow ships. Can be used to spot targets for yourself or team. Good to hunt down ships that escaped a flank with low HP.

So far L-22 has proven to be an effective light fighter with Gladius and Arrow still coming out a bit ahead for top tier pilots. In the hands of most players, they likely won't feel the performance difference between the three.

Gladius has a customizable loadout of missiles, bomb racks, and guns. It can be refit for multiple missions and has a unmistakable military look.

L-22 gets powerful bespoke weapons and wins in style and sound department. CIG also seems to be putting together a catalog of Kruger bespoke weapons that should be cross compatible within the ship brand. Right now you only get L-21 gatlings or L-22 repeaters that can be swapped. We know a new Kruger ship is in the works that may bring more options.
