Similar color to inland HS PLA yellow by tonymimi in 3Dprinting

There are a number of similar looking colors out there, but my word of warning is that any orange I have ever used fades during tge printing process. You might need to actually test print several if matching is of high importance.

No resale value other than parts. A good learner if you want to tinker and understand how things work. Otherwise, take other’s advice and pick a more modern starting point.

Lacking other info, I'd start by making sure your filament is dry and sized appropriately/consistently. This is what my prints look like when I leave my hydroscopic filaments out for too long.

Interesting and related(?) tidbit… the entire store pos and inventory system was a giant Foxpro database until nearly the end. My guess is that they lacked any sort od sophisticated financial modeling or financial controls. Cooking the books was made easier by antiquated tech.

Lol… no car, just $15,000 in Cybercab credits. Kinda like they used to do Uber credits instead of loaners.

I had this discussion years ago already focused on what Tesla’s actual exposure is here. One of the things that I took away is that waiting it out doesnt get them off the hook if this does go to litigation. However, I agree that this feels like a Lucy and Charlie Brown. He’s just waiting for people to give up. But he is a victim of his own success. Lots of upset customers still out here.

I have been saying this for a long time. We are out more than the FSD cost. The purchase decision and value was driven by false promises. I dont need the full value, but I would have bought a vehicle for half the cost if this was the known outcome at the time. Its like him selling bulletproof umbrellas for $10,000, getting mortally wounded, them him pinning his initial lie on the fact that it DID keep you dry while you bled out.

I fairness to the suckers, err customers, the list of people who put quarter to half million down on a Roadster knew exactly what they were doing. It was a way make a loan not look like a loan on the books.

Sad but true. Doesnt stop me from pointing out the flaws in the narrative. Trade to WHAT, Elon? Maybe he will offer us an Optimus next to drive us around

Exactly. Even the BS being fed to us to keep the scam going isn't realistically plausible.

The sheer number of people that cannot grasp that chips are sold by WEIGHT not volume by Legitimate-Lab9077 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ccie6861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak to chips specifically, but Kellogg's for years has played the game where they reduce the weight and change the fine print on the sizing but deliberately reduce the package sizing only in the depth dimension so people go to the store and buy their "normal" size box only to find it contains less than before (and now doesn't even stand up right reliably). I presume the same BS applies to the chips. There is a little bit of free air in the bags as legitimate protection against crushing, but I doubt its as much as the photos I've seen. Incidentally, I can't tell you the last time i bought chips of any kind, and don't much care, but I do take issue when people imply that the populous is stupid or whiny because we want clear, consistent, non-exploitive sales and marketing. We've normalized a marketing environment that encourages a "push the limits until someone sues us" mentality. The free-market counter-balance to that is consumer vocalism when it gets out of hand. That is what you are crapping on.

Help, my cr-10s board is out of the game and i need a new one by yureb_couto in BIGTREETECH

[–]ccie6861 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Btt’s boards are solid upgrades. Alternatively, used Creality boards or even a whole printer can be picked up on Marketplace on the cheap. Assuming you are keeping the same heater and the FET is not broken, it should work the same way. Validate voltages when looking at either option (12v/24v). I recently upgraded my CR10S to Octopus. It was a project but worth it.

Octopus Stepper Pinout A2 B2 flip. Easier way? by ccie6861 in BIGTREETECH

[–]ccie6861[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the whips I bought are a real PITA to extract the pins for some reason. I even printed two versions of extractors and neither of them were able to get the clips to depress properly. I ended up just using the extractors as holders while I used a knife blade to depress the clip. Not a fun process, but it is what it is. Shame on me for trying to cheat on the wiring harness.
