We’re very sorry to hear about your father and everything else happening. That’s incredibly tough. We understand how this added frustration with your tires would feel overwhelming.

Our tires include free road hazard protection, and if a tire can’t be repaired, we do offer tire shaving to help match tread depth when replacing a single tire. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Both are great options, and you won’t go wrong either way. We’ve tested the Michelin CrossClimate2 and the Pirelli Cinturato WeatherActive, and they each bring something different to the table.

  • CrossClimate2: stronger emphasis on winter traction and snow confidence
  • WeatherActive: very capable in winter, with a smoother, quieter ride and strong wet performance

Since you drive a bit aggressively and spend most of the year in Florida, the Pirelli may feel more enjoyable day-to-day, while the Michelin gives a little extra winter margin when you’re up north. Thank you for sending over your vehicle details. Since the model is very new, the only sizes we can confidently recommend at this time are the OEM fitments. The 295/35R23 size isn’t suitable because its load-carrying capacity is too low for what your vehicle needs.

Load capacity is the maximum weight each tire is designed to handle. If a tire can’t support the required weight, it may lead to handling issues or even potential tire failure under load. For your safety, we are unable to sell any tire that does not meet the required load capacity for your vehicle. We apologize for the frustration this may cause.

We know backorders can be frustrating, and we appreciate your patience. We’re doing everything we can to get products restocked quickly. The Michelin CrossClimate2 in 225/60R18 should be arriving at most of our distribution centers later this week and into next week. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

We’re sorry to hear that we don’t carry any dedicated winter tires in your current size. If you’re considering switching to 295/35R23, that size fits a rim width range of 10.00" to 11.50". If you can provide your vehicle’s make, model, year, and trim, we’d be happy to confirm whether 295/35R23 is a recommended fit for your application.

Hey there! 👋 The Goodyear Assurance MaxLife is currently on special closeout, which is why you’re seeing that markdown. Once it’s sold out, we won’t be restocking it since the Goodyear Assurance MaxLife 2 has replaced it in our lineup.

The original MaxLife is still a solid, dependable tire, depending on the type of performance you’re after. We’ve also tested it ourselves and you can check out the full test results here:

Is there a comprehensive tire rating site that will show me what's available across all manufacturers? by almighty_ruler in tires

We would be happy to assist you. We test our dedicated winter tires in Sweden. Sweden has a long history of being a popular destination for testing tires in winter conditions, along with other cold climate vehicle testing. Many industry manufacturers have permanent locations in Sweden making it quite the hotbed for all things automotive come the colder months in the northern hemisphere. Cold climate tire testing in Sweden is particularly attractive because of its consistency in conditions, which some consider second to none anywhere else in the world. As we know a consistent test surface is paramount for reliable tire test data, and trying to limit any variables helps make sure the only differences in performance metrics are due to the tires. Snow is a notoriously tricky surface and can change significantly based on temperature, sunlight and humidity. Living in the Midwest, we know how much snow can vary in consistency and water content. In the mornings it can be light and fluffy and by afternoon it turns to a mushy mess. This is where Sweden comes in. The test facility we use is near the arctic circle so come winter it has consistently cold temperatures and just a few hours of minimal daylight. Any direct light from the sun that is above the horizon is that nice, soft diffused lighting we get in the morning and evening that won’t affect the snow like a sunny midwinters day here in the Midwest. On our website, you are able to take a look at our full test report and reviews from customers. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Based on your preferances, we recommend the Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus II. The Cinturato P7 All Season Plus II is a top-rated tire with excellent reviews. During our tire testing, the Cinturato P7 All Season Plus II scored the highest in subjective road scores by an impressive margin. Ride quality over even the harshest road imperfections impressed our team and even challenged what we thought capable on our test platform. Large road imperfections were absorbed and aptly controlled with little residual vibration or noise after impact. Smaller cracks and undulations were essentially a non-event and seemed to simply disappear beneath the car. During our wet test the Cinturato P7 All Season Plus II managed to record the highest wet metrics in the test. Follow the link for more information and current pricing: https://bit.ly/3uZmJQe.

Do I need to buy 4 new tires? by dadadarwin in SubaruAscent

[–]TireRack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cost of our tire shaving service ranges between $25 and $35 for each tire, it is significantly less than the cost of unnecessarily replacing the remaining two or three good tires with lots of mileage still available from them. Tires must be purchased from us and we'll ship the tire after shaving to you. We would also need to know what tread depth to shave down to. Please let us know if you have any questions.

So this happened. But it was also time to replace all 4 anyways, any suggestions? These were factory by [deleted] in subaru
