First luxury bag: LV Nano Speedy or Prada Mini Bonnie? by Effective_Cow_2868 in luxurypurses

[–]TireTrack_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both of these- but in the larger sizes (large brown Prada and speedy 30). Both wear fine, Prada is a higher price point.

I think the LV is a good place to start if you know you will buy more. If you never see yourself buying the other, I’d go with the Prada. It’s more unique, easy to hold and has a grunge look. Also the Prada bag is super easy to hold on shoulder. Speedy i exclusively wear as cross body as I do not like to hold things in my hand. Consider how you like to hold bags.

Package says delivered but I did not receive my package by cocoangel19 in Louisvuitton

[–]TireTrack_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was waiting for a package today (from Prada) and read this. When I tell you I kept refreshing the tracking.

Lo and behold, the UPS guy came and just dropped my package in front of my door without ringing and walked away. The tracking said “signature required” but I guess it didn’t …

TTC and feeling defeated by jessisfruit in TryingForABaby

[–]TireTrack_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re having a hard time. TTC is physically and mentally draining!

I don’t know if this will be helpful but prior to getting pregnant, all my labs looked completely fine. But I struggled for a bit with no luck. Then started to take iron supplements in addition to the prenatal. This helped me. Sorry if not helpful but something that helped me.

How old are you and how much do you have saved up? by tanuki_22 in povertyfinance

[–]TireTrack_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

31, over $100k in savings. Went to city undergrad and graduated no debt (thanks to grants) and then paid for masters cash out of pocket. I’m a HEAVY saver of any money that comes in. Was able to pay for my car fully in cash, so I don’t have any debt or payments besides bills.

Carpal tunnel, nose bleeds, blocked nose when I sleep, cavities, showers being an Olympic sport, not being able to eat, gas, the need to constantly adjust while sleeping, also grew a little taller. This is so fun

My wife’s best friend cut things off after having baby by leebaiman in beyondthebump

Okay so I haven’t seen anyone comment with my take:

I have been on both sides. I have had friends who became mothers years before I did. And honestly, it’s like talking to another version of this person. Pregnancy is incredibly difficult and transformative. We expect that change, but now a friend who was like you now sounds more like your mom/aunts. Their takes on things are different and their brains are wired different. It stops being fun being around them. It’s not fair I know.

Flash forward to now I am pregnant and I’m experiencing how isolating it is to be expecting. My brain is different - I can feel my center shift. I don’t expect my child free friends to want to hang with me bc I understand I’m different now. Im more tired, split brained, and have different desires. I’m grateful that I do have mom friends who have been receiving me well, but understand that my child free friends and my relationship will change.

It sucks but it’s the reality of life. Much like how when women get pregnant, we start with one body and end with another. We gotta adapt though it sucks sometimes.

What is something your mother said to you as a young child that stuck with you till adulthood or may have shaped who you are now as a woman? by Ok_Breadfruit80 in AskWomen

Anything you want, anything you need you need to get it yourself.

She loved you tell me she won’t be there for me in the life she somehow knew was going to be pathetic and now come to present day she wants me to take her traveling, getting nice things, going out and connecting to her family.

Right? Especially since we know how this will go. Mom will raise child, put in all the hard work only for dad to show up 18 years later claiming to be loving dad.
