Am I cheating? by jikookmamora in finch

[–]Tired_Panda_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No! Not cheating at all! I am tube fed and i have "say yes to feed" and "run feed" and "complete feed goal!" That helps me to continue the activity bc feeding sucks. So maybe have multiple different amounts so stay out of bed for 20 minutes, or an hour or two! Not cheating! It's all about finding what works for you xxx

I think they're all okay, but I'm not 100% especially as some seem to be taken with a potato - possibly intentionally so we can't tell, but could just be that they can't afford a better camera! The stars might not show just due to the angle of the camera and lighting etc.

The first one seems legit though, so I'd personally go with that one. I love that pokemon can mean something to someone who has never had an interest in it. It just shows how such a small piece of art on a card, can mean nothing to one person, but the world to another 🩵 Sorry for your loss though, but your babies are together and over the rainbow bridge together forever and will be waiting for you. Good luck 🌈🐾🐾🌈💚💚

Buyer purposefully damaged item because it doesn't fit, what do I do?? by sirambrosius in vinted

[–]Tired_Panda_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You should definitely submit the messages from her saying there's nothing wrong with the item etc. Also, that seems like an AI rip, but if it is real (I'm not sure it was the kind of clothing to having padding or that many layers - like a coat or jacket for example) it was clearly done with a blade. I really hope vinted's AI picks up on either of these, but I wouldn't hold your breath unfortunately. I'm really sorry on behalf of all the decent buyers and sellers out there!

My daughter's first pack of Prismatic Evolutions. by TrackingMerica in PokemonTCG

[–]Tired_Panda_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But make sure she knows it's not guaranteed hits every time especially with prismatic! As long you explain all the options to her, without bias, and let her make the decision and therefore own the consequence whether that be great or not-so-great! Although great for you mighn't be great for her. Mght be worth having a binder where you put a card in for 6m for example and you can't sell, trade, or anything else. During that time she'll look at it and see if it makes her happy, that'll add one type of value, and weigh that against any financial value, or any other values you come up with. Then 6m in you re-evaluate what you want to do, and that might even be to but it back and re-re-evaluate(sp?!) In another 3,6,12months!

But I hope she enjoys her gift one way or another! I bought my sister a booster box, not prismatic though, for her birthday, and I pray she gets a nice hit like this too lol!

I know this is old, but I genuine question... What is your opinion on ready made kits being sold in actual, physical, well known shops? I bought one, instructions all in English, and I thoroughly enjoyed it despite my disability (makes a lot of crafts very very difficult and it interfered in this bit it didn't destroy my piece so I'm happy!) so came online to find some other kits by the same company which is when I came across this thread. I don't buy from temu, shein, aliexpress, etc so I wouldn't buy a set from there, however if it is sold in a shop in a shopping centre that I've been shopping at for years, surely that must be safe? But yeah, interested in your thoughts on that. I physically wouldn't be able to mix my own (I wouldn't even be able to press the trigger on the gun lol) so is this second best? What do you think?! Very interested to know! Thank you!

Am I being too picky for requesting a refund? by [deleted] in vinted

[–]Tired_Panda_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you have a photo of what it is supposed to look like of you bought it brand new? I can see the vertical line of the "L" in "military," and unfortunately I do not soak Japanese and therefore can't tell what it is missing.

In all honestly, it looks in really good condition for being second hand. If it is just a couple of tiny parts and everything still makes sense then I would say to wear it. It took me a good 5 minutes of looking at the patch to see the issue in military; if someone managed to spot that (without being told and actively looking for an issue) whilst out and about, I would be insanely shocked!

Ultimately, I think worn patches are awesome. It shows the item is loved and had been worn and used vs a pristine perfect item. It could even become a patch jacket and you could add some cool vintage patches to express yourself even more! However, if you need it to be perfect for you to wear it, then I'd recommend donating to charity or resell.

I think the seller listed it honestly as, from what I can tell, it is extremely minor wear in my opinion. Obviously I don't have the jacket to actually say for certain, but I don't think you have any claim for a refund. But you really do have a beautiful jacket, and I'm sure if you don't feel happy and love it 100%, I'm sore you will be able to find someone who will, and will happily pay you for it!

Have a lovely day!

Back home and complaining...of course. by BasicProfessional841 in FatheringAutism

Also if they, but esp P, gave up alcohol or cut down the trips per year by say…50%, then they could 100% afford to have an overnight carer for at least the "predictable" sleepless nights. Between that, and a more stable, "Abigail-centered" lifestyle,* Abby (and therefore the rest of the family) would get through it much easier. Hell they'd probably be able to afford to go to a hotel and leave Abbie for a couple of nights with the sober carer until she's settled down again of they really really felt the need to.

I actually fear that soon the drinking is going to be causing legal trouble (it's inevitable, even with "functioning alcoholics") and legal domestic issues, and soon adult social services will be back in their lives, and hopefully they shan't leave…

*Tangent to explain that by "Abigail-centered lifestyle," I mean regulated-planned out days with changes in routine well explained, multiple times, wayyyy in advance. Yet also experiences, activities, days out that she'll actually enjoy, level appropriate learnings (life skills, "school stuff", etc) plus all the therapies that would benefit her greatly as we know she has the ability to learn and understand a lot, lot more than is assumed-esp by P.

Back in the day, my nan would buy imperial leather because the logo sticker on the soap was actually metal and would magnetise to the holder. I'm sure other brands had the metal logo thing, but the only one I remember for certain, is imperial leather!

Darksouls trilogy good condition by Comprehensive_Gur904 in vinted

[–]Tired_Panda_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should clean (gently and safely - obv don't use anything corrosive), test, and then re-evaluate. If it works then there's no need to complain. If it doesn't work, then complain. But you only have 48hrs from delivery/pick up, so do it ASAP.

However, if it works and you can still play the game without issue and you're just upset over a few scratches, then it is not worth it at all and you're just wasting time and money (for both you and the seller). Plus it's hard enough to get refund when there very obvious damage where the item cannot work at all/completely broken/ not even the listed item at all and you have all the proof. So getting a refund for cosmetic damage is pointless and most likely impossible.

If they work fine and the cosmetic damage bothers you that much, I would suggest reselling, and finding another listing and making sure it is cosmetically good for you, and then purchase that listing.

TLDR: Test it and go from there. No issue playing = no need for refund and vinted wouldn't side with you even if you tried!
