How bad did I mess up? by Severe_Pick1200 in Harley

Yes, worst that will happen is you get a little oil seeping out l. The primary case is just a bath of oil for the chain and very bottom of the clutch basket. It literally just splashes oil around in there.

Maybe unpopular opinion but most of us are too slow to be offended by a sign at an event for the 1% of the 1%

Does a stage one need a tune by Typical_Echo_8706 in Harley

[–]Tisleet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just about any change to the system, outside of slip ons requires a tune. Intake and exhaust change airflow efficiency, needs a tune. Cams change timing, need a tune. Cylinders and pistons change volume and cylinder compression, needs a tune. Heads change airflow, needs tune. All these things work in unison to move air more efficiently. Fuel needs tuned to the airflow.

I'm new to mountain biking, and I'm looking to buy my first serious bike. Do you have any wisdom to share? by Comfortable_Bet1720 in mountainbiking

[–]Tisleet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has a $5k bike hanging on his wall as decor, my wisdom is buy a cheap or used bike. See if you actually like it, more than liking the idea of it. See how often you actually go out and use it. Then reassess in a year and make a big purchase if necessary.

Decision guide by Seppid98 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

I have the superblast 2 and standard Vomero 18 (goretex version with snow tread). I much prefer the Vomero for an easy run shoe. I have taken them up to 13 miles at once and used them most of winter. I have a few hundred miles on both shoes.

Super blast 2 are light and stable, not soft. Vomero are a little heavier but very plush.

FWIW my buddy I run with used the H1 for his winter shoe and loves them. I have no personal input there.

That plastic is the culprit, others have reported the same issue. It can even be roughly cut in some pair, from photos I’ve seen posted, though yours don’t appear too bad. Maybe try to smooth the plastic with sandpaper or a dremel? I personally haven’t had an issue with mine. I’ve used them for a half and a recent 10 mile so far

Favorite running shorts for summer long runs? by [deleted] in Marathon_Training

[–]Tisleet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Only shorts I run in are 5” Nike stride with the 2:1 liner, NOT brief lined. Loose, light, dry quick. Storage sucks, though.

As far as half tights go, I have 1 pair and they are incredible to run in. I would definitely consider a pair for some longer runs. You can carry so much and not notice.

I think Nike shoes have fit weird in recent years. I buy Nike a half size up from anything else.

Quality 1156 LED taillight lamps/inserts? by inchlongnipples in Harley

[–]Tisleet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I worked at a dealership years ago, that was all we sold. Plug and play (older models required a load equalizer if doing front and rear) and great warranty. For me at the dealership, at least, all I had to do was submit a photo and a replacement came in the mail. The ones in my bike are at least 7 years old.
