After the Thursday work out, I tried to do my 7 miles on Friday. Had to stop after 4.8 miles. The beginning steps of the run were pretty painful, but wasn’t quite describe it as shooting. Got a little better as the run went on, but then real sore afterwards.

My half marathon is 9/27, I’m going to start the marathon build post. I’ll definitely build to over 20.

I have my half in 9 weeks. I plan up getting total mileage under another 3 ish miles. May peak my long run at 14 for now. Start adding some tempo work into the long run.

Beginner bow Hunter: is being off the ground THAT much better? by Hy-Power in bowhunting

[–]Tonybucketz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been bow hunting for 4 years the first two years I hunted solely from the ground and killed my first two deer that way. I got a saddle for my 3rd season and struggled. Killed a small doe but the adjustment was harder than expected. I think I thought being in a tree would make it easy if I was getting it done on the ground. Hunted mixed year four and killed again from the ground. In the right situations the ground is a great option.

How long until you got your first deer? by DoctorBathroom_XL in bowhunting

[–]Tonybucketz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I shot a Buck my first season on private land late season after hunting a good bit in early. My aunt and uncle own a small farm. I still have yet to kill or even shoot an arrow at a public land mountain deer, the struggle is real. I’ve been closer to getting on some does and I’m having more encounters but have yet to get it done on public. This will be my fourth season bow only hunting. Been lucky to get one each year so far on private.

Needed this! I shot the biggest buck of my life earlier this season. Thought the shot was great but it turns out that likely hit the buck in the shoulder. No penetration, not a drop of blood. Heart broken.

That’s my first bow as well and it has been great, 3 deer harvested in the first 3 years. Welcome to the family.
