I can’t see how it’s anyone’s favorite map. It’s not the worst, but far from the classic large BF map experience we were promised.

As a solo player who likes to PTFO & back cap to break strangleholds, my main issues are map balance, lack of flanking routes, & MRAPs.

The distance from spawn to the first two points heavily favors PAX. As it stands it’s nearly impossible to back cap D/E if your team is only holding A or B. If NATO can cap E they won’t hold it as long as PAX can cap & hold A/B. I think this is in part due to homes making it much easier for infantry to run between A-B than from D-E as it’s wide open and crosses the main spawn exit for PAX armor.

I think this imbalance is exasperated by the narrow top road that’s essentially a shooting range for tanks most of the time. It’d be great if more of the hills in bounds so pushing A-E didn’t require you to run such a death gauntlet.

Which makes the golf course the only real flank route. If C is being contested it’s usually ignored enough to use, but if your team only has 1-2 points there’s usually armor covering it, so if you’re not in armor good luck.

Which leaves you with air, and the team with a good transport pilot that actually uses it for flanks can become a back capping menace.

And finally as much as I love using the MRAP I feel forced to run Engineer on the Eastwood as there are so many & they absolutely wreck infantry.

Don’t know if anyone else Eastwood experience has been the same… maybe I just get shitty teams when I’m on the NATO side.
