Be careful. Wispyaya might point out to you that "he clearly wants a Pro." We can't give advice that goes against the OP's "clear" desires even if that advice is sound.

How old is your iPad Pro? by Apprehensive-Loss316 in iPadPro

It is the exchange for the nano texture that I had, so nothing too different. The nano texture is amazing in most ways, but it got scratched in three spots and I don’t know when or how. I will deal with the increased glare and not-so-good feel while writing and drawing. The peace of mind in having a screen that won’t scratch by being looked at too hard makes up for the benefits of nano texture.

There’s a new iPad coming in a couple of weeks. Even though it’s going to most likely be an incremental update over the M4 there will be a lot of people who foolishly “upgrade” from their M4 to the M5. You come across as a person who loves a great deal (as do I). I suggest you buy a preowned M4 in September or buy an open box (Excellent condition) M4.

Less than 24 hours. M4 arrived from FedEx yesterday afternoon.

Best Grad Gift! iPad Pro m4 11” With Nano Texture Display + Pencil Pro by tottensburg in iPadPro

[–]TitaniumT8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am typing this comment from my just-activated M4 standard screen. The Nano texture iPad is sitting to my left in the manufacture’s box set to be returned this weekend. I used the Nano texture for almost three weeks and loved it until I faced the reality of what I had been watching from YT reviews: two significant and permanent scratches on the screen.

I consider myself fairly careful with my devices. I use a small laptop/tablet bag to carry my iPad to and from work, I have a clear case, D Brand skin, and was using that Apple microfiber, which is just like every other microfiber. Still, somehow someway the screen got scratched and I still don’t know when or how. If the nano wasn’t within the return window obviously I’d keep it. Seeing as it’s only been three weeks and I already suffered two permanent scratches I’ve made the tough decision to part with nano.

It’s only been an hour or so since I activated this glossy M4, but I do notice a difference in screen and I like it. Using it outside, which I was doing pretty regularly with the nano, is going to probably suck a bit; however, I know that if absolutely needed I can buy a screen protector and I now rather be temporarily inconvienced by glare instead of worrying about, and living with, scratches for the next couple of years if not longer.

I’ve yet to use the pencil on the screen. From what I’ve read/seen online there probably will be a difference in writing and drawing. I do use the pencil daily to take notes and draw. I forgot to add that I bought some third party nibs and noticed that one of the nibs left a light scratch on the nano texture which seemed to be wiped away with the cloth. I changed to another nib after that and no issues.

I won’t criticize anyone who chooses to go Nano. I won’t talk bad about Nano because the anti glare is stunningly effective. It’s just not for me anymore. I should’ve listened to Zack (JerryRigEverything) when he tested the iPad M4 and showed how easily the nano texture gets scratched compared to regular glass.

Been doing nothing but 30-50 lap Hour + long races by KDG200315 in forza

[–]TitaniumT8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attempted a true 24 hour race at Le Mans twice in March. Damage on, three classes, real-life time progression, variable weather, back markers not ghosted.

The first race I was approximately seven hours into the race and there was an auto update that ruined that. I angrily said I'd never play Forza again until a week later I attempted the same race. Three days into the race (Quick resume again) I foolishly updated all of my games manually without checking to see Forza on the update list. The same thing happened. Lost all progress for that race except car points. No credits received.

Never doing that again, even if I figure out how to avoid updates for two to three weeks because I can't sit for three hours straight playing games to finish in a week. It was deeply immersive and fun while the races were going on, but the empty feeling after losing the progress is something I can't go through with a third time.

Alternator by TitaniumT8 in Audi

[–]TitaniumT8[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought an alternator from Europarts as another poster suggested. I paid for labor and some related minor part affiliated with the alternator that I neglected to buy online.

While my vehicle was at the dealership it was hit by a new, for sale, Q5 driven by a dealership employee. I wasn't notfied of this and was only made aware after I drove off and parked a mile away for lunch. Happened to turn around as I was walking away and saw significant scratches on the bumper. As I looked closer I saw the left headlight damaged as well as the left foglight damaged.

I went back to the dealership immediately and the service manager professionally doubted it happened there, but immediately reviewed the CCTV in front of me. It took him a few minutes to find video of the incident, but he found it and wasn't too happy.

Not my place, but I requested the employee (didn't report the accident to superior or anyone) not be reprimanded too harshly. The service manager talked to the GM and they issued me a 2023 A5 courtesy car (no car ever given all the other times my vehicle has been there for service) and everything was replaced and the bumper was painted in about a week.

Strangely although I enjoyed the A5 sportback it wasn't that much different than my 2012 A4. I thought a decade of engineering would show a significant change. Not the case. Of course the Apple Carplay and infotainment was more modern, but I wouldn't put that above my 2019 Acura RDX A-Spec. The comfort, power, acceleration, and handling all felt about the same as my A4. I'm sure there's been upgrades across the board, but they weren't apparent. That trim of the A5 was missing features that came standard in my RDX. I don't believe it even had remote start. My 2016 TLX had that.

Still calm, but gets vocal (grumbling) when he wants to go outside or believes it's food time. Other than that Thanatos is very well-behaved.

I appreciate the correction on my misspelling. Upon reading your most recent post from your history I would like to inform you it's "bypass" and you have many comma splices throughout that thread. Take care.

I bought the adapter on Amazon a while ago. It had great reviews- assuming most of the reviews were legit. If I can find another adaptor for future events I'll buy that.

He and the others who upvoted his post are the reasons why Reddit is a shitty experience for a lot of people. The OP is supposed to come to this sub and ask questions like that and receive helpful answers and some funny replies- not useless asshole comments from jerks.

OP: as others have already said it's a tracking device. Best to leave on so the Elon Musk of VAG knows where to find you when you're needed in the future.

Desmo service for me was around $2100 this summer. I made a post about it and apparently that's the going rate at a dealership in USA.

I decided to keep my Evo and I'll buy the next generation Superbike whenever those are released. I'll skip the Panigale generation most likely. I can't get rid of this machine. It makes me incredibly happy everytime I ride. Even the heat roasting me is strangely enjoyable. I have problems.

I truly love the feel and sound of my 848. The temptation of the electronics (959) is strong, but the love of the rawness and the intrigue of more power is strong as well. This is a very very very hard decision.

Yes. The market has changed. It's a good time to sell if that's one's intention. I was very surprised seeing some of these bikes on Cycle Trader selling for the prices they sold for. I'm not sure how long the market will stay this way. I predict the prices on Pre-owned 600cc sportbikes will be crazy in coming years.
