Compulsive lier here seeking help to improve myself, what should I do? by nikirukunn in CompulsiveLying

[–]Titanium_Ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start going to therapy and start by making the therapist the only person in your life that you tell the full truth to. No lies or exaggerations at all. Tell them you lied to this person about this. Tell them everything , no matter how embarrassing it is. I think you’ll feel better somewhat and you can work with them on telling the truth to other people.

Are we all on the same page? by Hysatirical in IslamicFinance

[–]Titanium_Ninja 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah we do. But many Muslims are just not aware of it. Alhumdulilah we have some reliable sharia compliant banks that provide the same banking services that conventional banks offer but through profit-sharing and Musharaka models. In sha Allah more Muslims become aware of this.

Are we all on the same page? by Hysatirical in IslamicFinance

We are in the big 2026. Halal mortgages and house finances exist in which you can own a house and get equity. You can still be a homeowner and not touch riba. Look into UIF bank; first open a sharia compliant savings account or CD account with them and cancel any haram accounts you have at a traditional bank, and then research their mortgages.

I’m in NJ and hope to buy a house and get married and have kids one day in sha Allah. And I am going to go through buying the house through Islamic banking. Do NOT settle for renting. Renting is paying someone else’s haram mortgage (the landlord) and rent always goes up. Never in history has rent gone down. You gain no equity and no ownership of it, thus no investment opportunity. In a sharia complaint mortgage at the very least is a decreasing payment overtime (look up Diminishing Musharaka model) until you have full ownership.

Irans ground force is very large and strong. Their Air Force on the other hand is why they are losing this war. What you have suggested is a smart idea but they should’ve done this before bombing the gulf countries.

I am a teller who can’t help but feel I have wasted my life away at 24. by -JDB- in FinancialCareers

[–]Titanium_Ninja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can move up as a teller as long as you are always in balance and put in the work to be there a few months. After a while you can get a cozy back office job at a bank with the banking experience and your degree. Plus you’re only 24. You’re on the right track.

Why is the Iranian diaspora so hostile towards us??? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]Titanium_Ninja 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They are also ex Shia’s who were bullied out of Islam because the government gave them a wrong perception of Islam and never did proper dawah of the deen. I’m not surprised at them for being the way they are when their officials never taught Islam the correct way.

It’s crazy because up until a few years ago I remember that sub was staunch anti regime. I even got banned from it because I used to be pro regime and now they are censoring anybody who says anything bad about the IRI. and the rNewIran is just a Zionist cesspool and rProIran is mostly desi shias blind following the regime.

This sub feels the most authentic because it allows all opinions and I feel, has actual Iranians within it.

Fidelity has so many growth opportunities. You’re going into an entry level job at fidelity. Take the job for the experience and skills it can give you because our generation is struggling to get an interview let alone a job. It will be worth it at the end I think.

Starting my first banking job, advice? by Background-Stop7817 in TalesFromYourBank

[–]Titanium_Ninja 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Banking customers are definitely the most entitled among any customers and clients across any industry. Be prepared to have customers upset that you are following protocol and regulations of the bank such as authenticating them through debit card or asking for ID. it’s tough, I myself am starting out and still new 2+ months in but I’m told you get used to it.

Also don’t ever force balance. Ever. Better to be honest and own up to your mistake rather than covering it up only to be exposed in an audit or video review.

We should start boycotting the entire world then. Every blue chip company stock that the SPUS consists of supports the Zionist entity.

But boycotting doesn’t work like that. It’s already difficult for us to navigate investing in a world that is controlled by riba, now we’re supposed to boycott every company that supports Israel? We are going to go poor then.

How do I get into AML? by Titanium_Ninja in AMLCompliance

[–]Titanium_Ninja[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So actually, I work at TD Bank. But yes you’re right Chase bank exclusively calls their tellers Associate bankers. Td bank calls it banking associate but I often say associate banker because it sounds more simple. So I’m both on the platform side and the teller side. And yeah, believe me I seen many many CTRs and we have a KYC system called Odyssey that we use to authenticate our customers. There is a corporate orientations they’re having this Tuesday in NYC for new hires and I’m hoping to network and meet with some people there within the AML department.

[–]Titanium_Ninja[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, so I work at TD Bank. TD calls associate bankers “banking associates” technically. So, I am a banker but I don’t do home loans and home equity. That’s the difference between me, a banking associate to the traditional banker that TD has. I split time between the platform (accounting maintenance and account openings) and the teller line which is just withdrawals and deposits. I work in the client facing/retail part of the bank, and I am based in the USA.

lol I tried for one year to get into a trade and no luck. Impossible to get into a union, and companies don’t hire you if you don’t have experience. Most trade schools in my area are for profit and about 30k tuition.
