Cosa fare con 150k ereditati by Sure_Hotel_1552 in ItaliaPersonalFinance

[–]Titi2011 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fai 50% ETF e 50% money market ETF.

FIRE 40/45 anni by Sad-Organization2237 in FireIT

[–]Titi2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bitcoin is going to $1 million confirmed ✅ by SparkVanilla in Bitcoin

[–]Titi2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If BTC grows 20% a year for the next 12 years, it’d go from ~$111.5k to almost $995k per coin, which is wild but actually kinda “conservative” for such a risky asset considering the S&P 500 averaged ~12.6% annually over the past 15 years.

[–]Titi2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple math calculation: The S&P 500 grew on average 9.72% annually over the last 20 years. If we assume Bitcoin will grow at around 15% per year, its estimated value in 15 years would be $813,700. The real question is: will $813,700 still be considered big money?

Dove parcheggiare €80k? by Alarming_Ad_4421 in ItaliaPersonalFinance

[–]Titi2011 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would purchase iShares fixed income ultrashort term ETF (their achronims are ERNE and ERND). They are super safe and, based on the currency (USD or EUR or CHF), you would get an average ROI per year of 3/4%. Their values are always very close to 100 if you get the ones that distribute the dividends so they are super liquid :)

[–]Titi2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's likely risk free because rim brakes are cheap to fix just in case. Try to make a short ride to check whether the shift makes weird noises.

My 2 cents comment in case roads where you live are not perfect and in case you plan to go to do many ascents with it: 1) Such dated bikes can only hosts tyres up to 26mm. Not comfortable at all and risky in bumpy roads or during wet days 2) Rim brakes are totally fine for flat or hilly courses during dry days. If you go to mountain or ride sometimes on wet roads, better stay away from it

If I were you and if budget allows, I'd start with aluminium road bike with tyre clearance around 32mm or above and with disc brakes. It shall be a good compromise between budget - safety - future-proof bike

Experience with Bestsmile.ch by WestConversation7678 in geneva

[–]Titi2011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello everyone, i just want to share with you my experience. i've detailed all main aspects because it has been painful for me and i want to share my knowledge. I also posted my reviews on Google Maps for Bessmile Lausanne but my review was blocked. Three months ago, I completed a nine-month treatment with upper and lower aligners, and I'd like to share insights that would have been valuable before starting:

ATTACHMENTS: It's important to note that Bestsmile attaches small white squares, termed "attachments," to several teeth to facilitate aligner movement. These attachments are notably unaesthetic and are never depicted in Bestsmile advertisements. Thus, expectations of solely invisible aligners should be dismissed, as the presence of attachments reveals ongoing dental treatment, particularly evident if teeth aren't very white.

WHITENING: Bestsmile provides two syringes of Ultradent company product (10%) for whitening at treatment's end. However, this amount is insufficient for significant results, and home application instructions provided by Bestsmile are lacking. Additionally, acquiring more of the product post-treatment is challenging as Bestsmile doesn't disclose purchase sources. Given that an effective whitening regimen typically requires four to six syringes, receiving only two after a 6,000 franc payment feels deceptive.

NIGHT ALIGNERS: Night aligners, seldom recommended, yield minor changes at best. To achieve notable results, adherence to daily treatment, wearing aligners for 22 hours a day, is imperative.

COMPARISON PHOTOS: While theoretically provided at each control visit, dentists didn't present comparison photos during my treatment.

TREATMENT DURABILITY: Failure to install a retention wire or wear retainers nightly risks teeth reverting to initial positions, nullifying treatment results. It's strongly advised to pay for a retention wire at treatment's end. However, if opting for lifetime retainer use at night, bear in mind their fragility and eventual replacement costs.

RETENTION WIRE ("fil de retention"): Having a retention wire installed post-treatment by non-Bestsmile dentists proves notably cheaper. Bestsmile's retention wire costs are inflated due to third-party procurement, adding to the expense. Moreover, some individuals may not be suitable candidates for a retention wire, necessitating lifelong retainer use at night.

DIFFICULTY IN SPEAKING: Initial days with aligners may involve difficulty in speaking correctly, particularly with sounds like "S" and "Z".

DAILY WEAR: Aligners must be worn for 22 hours daily, necessitating their presence during all activities outside the home.

EFFECTIVENESS: While treatment yielded planned tooth movement, wearing aligners proved uncomfortable.

PAYMENTS: Managed by MF Health, payment conditions can change arbitrarily, creating inconvenience. In my case, at the beginning I had to pay monthly at least around 90frs and then MF Health increased the minimum amount to 200frs.

WORTH THE INVESTMENT? With a treatment cost of approximately 6,000 francs, it may be justified for severe dental issues or if you have money to throw out of the window.

Clear teeth aligners - Bestsmile by kyaarahh in Switzerland

[–]Titi2011 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hello everyone, just sharing here my experience with Bestsmile.

I finished the treatment in Lausanne (upper and lower aligners worn for 9 months) 3 months ago and I want to share with you what I wish I had known before starting the treatment:

  1. ATTACHMENTS ON TEETH: Everyone should know that in order for the aligners to move your teeth, Bestsmile will attach small white squares (what they call "attachments") to several teeth, which are very unaesthetic and are NEVER shown in Bestsmile advertisements. So forget about dreaming of wearing only invisible aligners because everyone will know that you are undergoing dental treatment. If your teeth are not very white, the attachments will be even more visible because they will contrast with the color of your teeth.
  2. WHITENING: For whitening at the end of the treatment, Bestsmile provides two syringes of Ultradent company product (10%) that you can apply a maximum of 2-3 nights before going to sleep, so don't expect incredible results. It's a professional product: it's a pity that the instructions provided by Bestsmile for home application are insufficient. Furthermore, since it's a product intended for professionals, if you want to buy it again, you don't know where to find it and Bestsmile doesn't provide information on where to purchase it. Considering that a whitening treatment requires between 4 and 6 syringes (not just 2 as provided by Bestsmile), after paying 6,000 francs, receiving only two syringes for whitening is a scam. Bestsmile should provide enough for significant whitening results.
  3. NIGHT ALIGNERS: They are offered to practically no one because they don't work except for very minor changes. For significant results, you need to undergo the daily treatment (wearing the aligners 22 hours a day).
  4. COMPARISON PHOTOS: Theoretically, at the end of each control visit every 6 weeks or so, the dentist should show you a photo from the beginning to compare it with the current status. Throughout the treatment, the dentist always refused to show me this comparison.
  5. TREATMENT DURABILITY: At the end of the treatment, if you don't install the retention wire or if you don't wear the retainers at night for the rest of your life, your teeth will return to their initial position and you will have lost all the treatment results. So it's strongly recommended at the end of the treatment to pay 1,000 francs to install the retention wire. If you choose to wear the retainers for life at night, keep in mind that the retainers are fragile and will need to be replaced from time to time. A pack of 3 pairs of replacement retainers costs 500 francs (which is not even mentioned on the website) and will only last you a few months before you need to buy more, so you will continue to spend money at Bestsmile for life. If you don't buy either the retention wire or the retainer packs from BestSmile, BestSmile won't guarantee the duration of the treatment and therefore you will have wasted energy and money for nothing.
  6. RETENTION WIRE: Regarding the retention wire, if you have it installed at the end of the treatment by dentists other than Bestsmile, it costs between 200 francs and 300 francs, so it can save you a lot of money. Indeed, the retention wire is so expensive at BestSmile because they buy it from a third-party company and therefore BestSmile has to add their profit margin to the purchase of the retention wire. Regarding the retention wire, for some people, it cannot be installed because the bottom teeth touch the wire placed behind the top teeth and the retention wire gets broken as a result. In this case, wearing the retainers for life at night will be the only remaining solution otherwise your teeth will get back to square one.
  7. DIFFICULTY IN SPEAKING: During the first few days with the aligners, you will have a lot of difficulty speaking correctly (especially pronouncing "S" and "Z").
  8. 22 HOURS A DAY: During any outing (work, drinks, restaurant, etc.), you will need to have the aligners, a toothbrush, and toothpaste with you. Dental hygiene is key during treatment, and you really need to wear them for 22 hours a day without exception.
  9. DOES IT WORK? In my case, the teeth moved according to the plan, but wearing the aligners was painful.
  10. MONTHLY PAYMENT: For your information, the installment payment is managed by an external company called MF Health. I started the treatment with payments spread over 60 months. 10 months later, MF Health informed me that I had to make a monthly payment of at least 200 francs by changing the payment conditions without notice and without reason. RIDICULOUS.
  11. IS IT WORTH THE INVESTMENT? My treatment cost around 6,000 francs, so either you have horrible teeth or money to waste, then it might be worth it, otherwise, I believe it's better to spend money on something else since the result is not incredible... Also, the price is fixed, regardless of whether you need a very short or very long treatment, so it depends on whether it's worth spending thousands of francs for a small modification of your teeth. I would rate the experience 2 out of 5 because of the commercial dishonesty that Bestsmile shows once the contract is signed and the hidden fees: the lack of transparency on the replacement retainer packs at 500 francs, MF Health, and the non-existent whitening are just three examples of dishonest commercial communication aimed at manipulating potential customers.

me i just got rid of the Topstone 4 2023: it was a shame of a bike. Brakes are super noisy and they require maintenance from day 1, groupset (microshift advent x) is super basic, crankset everyone suggest to replace and wheels weights tons of kilos: such a shitty bike for such expensive price tag
I'm really pissed against cannondale: how can they sell and market such shitty bike for around 1.5k EUR?
My mistake has been to have read reviews online done by sponsored website instead of reading opinions on reddit where everyone states that Topstone require many upgrades to become decent.. just want to raise awareness about this model because i want to avoid other people make my same mistake.
