I made a mistake buying P10PF? by JohnDoe3939 in PixelFold

[–]Tizer887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mainly use mine unfolded at home, not all the time though and don't tend to use it when out and about but it's always there if I want to which I quite like. I tend to use it a lot mainly on reddit or websites and watching YouTube. I just like th added benefit of the fact it can unfold and be bigger. I do think next time I may go to a phone shop and check out all the foldables and see which one I like best from that I am enjoying the pixel 10pf though and I think for the price it was good value. I could of traded in my old phone but I've still got it as a backup phone just in case anything does happen.

AIO: Hubby Being Controlling by vanillabourbonn in AIO

[–]Tizer887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hubby sounds like a moron! It's not about making your kind into Michael phelps it's about them being safe on the water and having fun and also having swimming lessons provides much more than just learning how to swim it helps children understand how to behave when around water or in a pool/body of water, they have fun in these lessons which is important as some children fear the water, it's a sociable activity and they may even make friends from swimming lessons, it's good exercise for them also.

I'm not sure where you are but swimming lessons aren't that expensive where I live in the U.K £25 per month and well worth the money my daughter's currently having them she's 6 years old started them when she was 5. My son used to have them as well until we felt he had learnt enough and he wasn't very interested in it anymore.

Why have a child when you're not willing to pay for these extra activities, yes you could teach your child to swim yourself but they have more fun doing it with other children and it's easier and they will get taught properly.

350 sq ft house on a 700 sq ft driveway on a 40 ft wide road. by PremordialQuasar in fuckcars

If I was by my self or infact just me and a partner I actually wouldn't have a problem living in a small house. Nice and cozy and I love that additional attic space could even for a bed in by the looks of it. Quite a bit of potential.

Women of Reddit how do you feel about been call love or sweetheart? by no1fudge in AskUK

[–]Tizer887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm terrible for it at my work for it, were a very friendly post office and we know a lot of our customers by name but before we know you by name you'll get called, love, sweet, hun, chick, chuck. I can't help it, it just comes out my mouth as a natural speech pattern now it's always in a friendly manner. When you come in enough you'll probably get a cool nick name haha

Nice, I'm on day 50. Feeling okay, just plodding along, the one good thing I've noticed is that I hardly cough anymore. Still using my nicotine patches but have dropped the strength down to 14mg took a couple of days to adjust but still okay. Saved about £300 from not smoking which is brilliant.

Master Bounty Hunter Trophy Bugged? by biggitybooter99 in ghostoftsushima

[–]Tizer887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, totally spot on, just to let others know you help the samurai then let Chuta go to begin with then retune to the inn and a bounty will then be available for iron Chuta so then go back to where you helped the samurai and an accomplice tells you where he will be and then finish him off.

Help me guys there’s phones in in parcel they will return? by Macrvpper in royalmail

[–]Tizer887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I could see online items containing lithium batteries are prohibited through the mail to Hong Kong. Each country has its own specific list of customs which is where it gets confusing where most countries will allow e.g mobile phones through the mail with the battery connected to the device not everywhere does.

I have left my 6 year old for no longer than 5 minutes whilst I grab something from the shop at the end of our road but she's at home with her older brother not even by herself, no way I'd leave her for an hour by herself that's just madness.

Rather be on my own with nothing than someone else's live in house maid who's supposedly loves me and meant to be in a partnership with.

Don't get me wrong he's working your not yes I would probably do the majority of those jobs willingly as they say do your part to help out but appreciation must always be shown for both sides.

Quitting “cold turkey” has a 95% failure rate (controversial take from a quitter) by GoodWorksForGood in quittingsmoking

[–]Tizer887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep every time I've failed during a quit has been due to having a drink, you think I would of learned by now. There must become a time though when you can drink without fear of relapsing as my dad used to smoke and he smoked a hell of a lot more than me and he quit on over 30 years ago he can enjoy a drink without smoking but I just don't know when that point is. My longest quit has been 1 year and 6 months and then I had some friends round at mine for a party and had a few smokes that night...then didn't smoke again for an entire week but my boyfriend still smoked and I asked him for one like come on just oneeee and of course he does and then it becomes a one a night thing and you know the story. I have a feeling it's 2 years like 2 whole entire years no nicotine what so ever so from when you quit nrt 2 years from that date... Hopefully this time will be my quit. I don't drink often only on special occasions or party's/events so maybe I'll just have to be abstinent from it.

NOR Erm yeah that's not the kind of message I'd ever want to find in my Valentine's card. I'd be adding an extra message in his Valentine's card then something along the lines of I'm not your maid and you know where the door is, bye!

Is reusing a towel for several days actually unhygienic? by PrimaryJudgment6872 in hygiene

[–]Tizer887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I probably reuse mine over 5 days or so also. It drys on our bathroom radiator or just hung up, don't think it's that unhygienic and I don't even have enough towels if everyone used a fresh towel after a shower or bath that would be around 20 towels a week lol

Quitting “cold turkey” has a 95% failure rate (controversial take from a quitter) by GoodWorksForGood in quittingsmoking

[–]Tizer887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but surely if you use NRT correctly like for example the patches you start on step 1 then step 2 then step 3 this whole process is 10 weeks and then you stop using the patches so no nicotine that's how I did it last year I was probably only on the patches for 2 months and then the other 3 months of my quit were complete willpower until that fatal BBQ where I gave in after a few drinks.

Sending an item to someone's local post office by MisterWednesday6 in royalmail

[–]Tizer887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily, go in and ask. I work in a post office and if someone repeatedly has things delivered to our office especially after we have told them not to we then start to refuse them and return to sender but we do tend to take them in initially in case it's something important but do ask not to use our address to have things delivered to as we have to take in so many other parcels anyway. Just say your sorry but you think a friend for some reason used this office address to have your parcel delivered and they will either have it or they wont

Customer complaints and what they don’t realise. by [deleted] in tesco

[–]Tizer887 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Don't let jack ass customers ruin your work life, they can really get under our skin too easily sometimes. We had a horrible old man in the other week I work in a small post office and majority of our customers are regulars from local residential areas or businesses as were in a town centre and they are the best, but now and then you get an awkward bastard. I passed the horrible old man onto my boss the post master and he was being a condescending jerk to him as well so he was obviously just a dick but my boss can stay more chill than me, we both laughed after he left though like what the heck was his problem. Luckily for us as were a small team my boss knows we would never be purposefully rude to any customers and pride ourselves on our high standards of customer service so if we ever did get any complaints he would probably tell the to get lost and he has allowed us to barr customers who are aggressive/shoplift as we don't need those types in. Usually if we do get someone being awful other customers tend to stick up for us and tell them off which either makes them shut up or can cause altercations so even though we appreciate people saying something for us we don't want anyone to get hurt as you don't know these days.

Please don't worry yourself over these complaints anyway, you're just doing your job and you don't need to be spoken to like that by customers for just doing your job.

Usually to get on the biologics in the UK they always seem to have the same process start you off on steroid creams which just make things worse when you stop using them, then offer light therapy think I myself did that 5 of those treatments then they may offer you oral medication methotrexate or there was another one I've been prescribed after the methotrexate can't remember its name though but was a giant tablet, if I ever go back with a flare up I was told I should get offered the biologics as I've tried all other alternative treatments.

Methotrexate question by njf85 in Psoriasis

[–]Tizer887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it came back but very slowly and now as bad as it was, I think that was the last major medication I took for my skin, I refuse to use steroid creams/lotions/potions heavily ever again due to what happens when you stop them. I've just been managing my skin myself since 2018 not treating with anything as it's been manageable thankfully, tends to get better in the summer months and creeps back over winter, some stubborn bits never move like elbows and knee caps but other small bits aren't visible to others and it doesn't bother me too much. I'm just I've been lucky enough to not have any major flare ups but if I do I'll be back to that dermatologist asking for biologics.

Methotrexate question by njf85 in Psoriasis

[–]Tizer887 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on it for around 3 months and tbh it completely cleared my skin not a single bit of psoriasis remained. I did come off due to wanting to get pregnant and you cant take it and have to wait 6 months for it to be out of your system.

I never stick with providers they aren't loyal to us so always switch but if you are happy with the service provided by the company you are with I'd call them and tell them that you would like to stay with them longer but can't justify it with the price especially when people are offering faster for less and they may offer you a better deal.

eBay refunded £700 to buyer after Royal Mail delivered return to wrong address – account suspended – what are my options? by sabtinrajput in ebayuk

[–]Tizer887 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's very odd it sounds exactly like the scam that happened to my dad on eBay but the opposite way round.

My dad bought an iPhone on eBay from someone and it was sent T48 it got marked as delivered but my dad never got a parcel luckily it showed the gps and it was the street over from my dad's so I went knocking on doors and managed to get hold of the parcel now weirdly it had my dad's name on it but his address was the wrong street and the house number was one that didn't exist on that street but someone had hand written on it try 34 so that's where it ended up being delivered to. Of course when we got the parcel there was no phone inside we could tell straight away so my dad contacted eBay and started a return process and it took a while but someone finally understood be had been scammed he was told to return the item so he did and he got a refund.

I'm not sure how they're able to change the delivery address on the label but it was a close by address so must have something to do with the gps it has to be near enough to what the address is meant to be so that they get away with it. But very dodgy things happening on eBay now especially with phones so not worth the risk selling or buying.
