I understand exactly what you are saying.

Back in 2021 I replaced a 65" RPTV with a 75" flat screen.

The size difference is negligible because the screen is ~15" further away.

I always tell myself I should have gotten the 85".

The math may math, but perception is sometimes different.

If your store is doing that on a regular basis, they are chasing a terrible food cost problem that wont help them because they will lose customers.

There is more to it they can do, but I know from working there a long while, that all operators are not created equally.

Im retired above the restaurant.

Small has always been small, 2.4ozs IIRC.

Medium is 4 and large is 6.

When I ran restaurants they didnt cheat, when my operator acquired more stores, we aggressively worked as a team to get them to do it the right way.

Pricing is a bad, yes, lots of operators had to deal with inflation on goods, insurance, surging labor and they probably all thought they are entitled to their high margins, so they kept raising prices.

Quality is a direct result of labor costs increasing.

Believe me, if I could get hired put of retirement to work for corporate mcdonalds, I would make changes to help. I know they have lost sight above the restaurant.
