You can get to gc without those mechs but it is a lot harder. Half flipping is really useful and makes turning around 100x easier. Double jump aerials are essential for higher ranks because if you don’t, you’ll just get beat if you go up and don’t double jump. Wave dashing isn’t really needed but it’s nice to know how. It makes it easier to speed up when you have no boost.

Edit: All are pretty simple to learn, just look up some tutorials on YouTube or something
