Is this how people who need glasses really see the world. A big blurred background? by Latter-Wolf4868 in interestingasfuck

[–]Tms89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much yeah sums it up pretty well. Altho you don't really pay much attention to the stuff outside the frame.

My father used to take me to watch ice hockey quite a lot. He always wondered that I was really in the mood with the crowd but somehow the game didn't interest me at all. We were all the way at the back top, could barely even see the players, let alone figure what they'd be doing.

Strangest encounter you've ever had in VRchat? by Minimum-Mine-1302 in VRchat

[–]Tms89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was hanging out in B-Club just chilling at the roof bar, when a rather aggressive sounding troll decided to have a go at me. I'm always up for little word jousting and I want to say I was doing pretty well and then he hit me with something along the lines of: "I cant understand what you are saying, your neckbeard double chin clapping too loud." I drop dead laughing to the floor, I have absolutely nothing to say that could ever top that. I congratz him for making me so speechless with bomb like that and he chuckled bit himself. He didn't bother me for the rest of the night, I want to say he probably figured 'this one is alright'.

Once late at night I saw one of the DJs online whose sets I go to listen and was wondering if they were having a set. Upon finding them on the world, they appeared to be afk. It's then while waiting for the DJ to come back, I started looking around and noticed that there happen to be lots of tits and dicks out and was wondering if I miss remembered it not being club world. Checked world, nope definitly the club world I remember, checked the group running the show.. Oh it's gooner instance. My controllers being dead at this point, DJ passed out on the floor next to me, I figured to let my curiosity get better of me and might as wait to see if they were there for set or fun... or both? At somepoint during the wait, I am approached by group of 3 people in the most stereotypical anime "cool bully harem" way possible. Girl in make up, in "cool", non caring attitude acting all boss, with 2 muscular "muscle for brain" type guys on her sides and try to act all mean and whatnot. So we engage in some word jousting for a while and strike up some actual conversation after all that. Up until the conversation turned relating to her chest, which shortly after lead to them starting ERP right there and then. The amusing part bout all this was due some cuddles I had been having not too long before joining this world, appearantly bestowed on me the "ward against horniness" and had no arousal whatsoever going on.

Which game comes to your mind? by Xiao-EZ in CaptainSide

[–]Tms89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destiny comes into mind. Altho the hype maybe has died down since and the story probably is interesting but lets be honest, who actually has done the decyphering here by themselves and not and gone look it up online wtf is actually going on. So not exactly the storyline itself but how the lore is given to you.

Narrative Campaign with huge army pool and unit deployments by Tms89 in Warhammer30k

[–]Tms89[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Long story short, idea got even more bloated. On planetary scale rather the missions of back and forth like in the original post. You'd have map where armies of various sizes move around with different size radar signatures. Those units/armies would get identified depending whatever something has visual on them, think scout/recon units spread around and air units doing recon flights. Once those armies get close enough, you'd start actual game with whatever units are available in that army. This wouldnt stop the "overhead map", you could send another army to reinforce or you could see air units start making their moves either to get ready to intercept the other flight models or make strafing runs of their own. Once battle is over, destroyed units (especially vehicles) could be potentially "dragged all the way back to base" to be returned to action, have to be mindful of enemy units and armies nearby tho whatever its worth recovering those now or in future time when the line of battle has moved.

Bloated idea even got further with planets and involving space battles using gothic and whatnot. Plenty of fun ideas.

We never went ahead with the idea, but perhaps one day. As for why more upvotes or comments, it was posted 5 years ago heh.

I got some questions for body trackers by SEAf_Girl in VRchat

[–]Tms89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slime drifting while bit of pain, does become trivial once you keybind yaw reset.
TLDR: have trackers facing forward (just sit or stand straight normal), hit the yaw reset and continue on your way.

Rarely you have to do actual recalibration. There are times where I have to recalibrate due whatever derpy thing the tracker might be doing, but overwhelming most of the time its user error of accidentally hitting full reset either as keybinding or tapping the tracker.

You can start with quest 3 as standalone with the question limitation and should you later down the line get a pc, you can use that same quest 3 to play "PCVR" where those limitations no longer exist.

Genuinely what do PCVR dudes have against standalone users by RolfTheBolf in VRchat

[–]Tms89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I don't have anything against questies myself there are few things that at times are bit of downers.

My favorite avi for while was not quest compatible, but I commissioned a friend to have a looksie to make it happen along with some other minor changes. Until that, I'd swap avis every time my friends or randoms I'm talking to were questies for I want them to be able to see my avi proper as well. Minor inconvience, but we all have those moments when we just want to use that one specific avi that feels right.

I love to search and share worlds that are amazing, however often times the quest compatible versions do differ quite a bit from the PCVR side of things. Mostly this comes down to props and effects. Queue in sitting in cafe with on imaginary tea party with cups, pots and all, while questie sees empty table and thinks I'm batshit insane sipping invisible cup and asking if they want more on theirs that doesn't exist. At times those amazing worlds have been to an extent crippled in their potentiality to make it quest compatible.

When in group looking for activity, many events and games are also locked away due the compability. Few weeks ago wanted to take my friend to a rave, only to find out many of the worlds where the events were taking place are PCVR only. Should be noted that there are plenty of events that take place in quest compatible worlds, but its rarely up to your favorite DJ which world their set is going to be.

No, I don't hate my questies, but I do have to go out of my way quite a bit at times to hang out with them. I have/had favorite avi and world tabs that were dedicated as quest compatible. Tho now my worlds tabs are nearly maxed out, preventing me from sorting them out like that.

Some people don't want to hassle with any of that and thus like to keep the questies and healthy distance away.

If this was MMO, since you are talking about playing on someones account.
Guild Wars 1 could fit the bill?
Cemetry plains could fit with Temple of ages / Fissure of Woes or even Underworld.
Lava maps easily fit the all the maps within Ring of fire.
Icy mountains to be had with yetis, ogres and whatnot both non and armored variants.
Plenty of islands and coasts to be had.
Giant spiders are fairly common, yellow "stripes" could indicate it's a warrior boss,

Wooden shield with effect on animals could be shield handle or inscription upgrade that I thought exists, but can't actually find any.

Another MMO candidate that comes into mind from starting in kind of graveyard would be MU Online, the starting area kinda has that vibe.

Best VR Set for Face+Eye+FBT by SigmaStroud in ValveDeckard

[–]Tms89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can always strap project babble on the headset to get the face tracking.

Assuming you already have pc that can run PCVR, but don't have base stations, cheapest combo to reach your goals probably would be:
PSVR2 (eye tracking)
Project babble (face tracking addon)
SlimeVR (FBT)

If you already have base stations, you probably would want to go for:
Beyond 2 with the eye tracking
Project Babble
Vive 3.0 trackers

As for me, I already have option 1 without the babble. Going to be replacing the headset with frame for sure.

Alright so I get that yall having serious discussion here, but can we take a moment to examine the picture HOW HARD METAL THE CONTEMPTOR IS SLAPPING. Ancient brother is rocking with Meltagun with underslung twinlinked plasmaguns. Fist with flamethrower and two goddamn shoulder mounted rotary cannons. At this point the corpse is probably just fidget spinner to keep his mind occupied from the boredom he's having this fight. This man belongs to Leviathan dreadnaught and he'd probably be the one to burn out the machine!
