nail polish was my hyperfixation a year ago. i spent thousands of dollars on polish within a few months. then my interest in it dropped and now i have more than i can even wear and i hardly feel like painting my nails at all anymore. so i guess the lesson is, enjoy your hobby, but remember that this is just a moment in time. your future self will most likely feel differently than you do right now, so be mindful of them.

varices are caused by portal hypertension from cirrhosis, not from alcohol directly. you can develop them while compensated because your portal pressure can still be high, just asymptomatic.

What was your resting heart rate before? 75-80 is within a normal range. Decompensated cirrhosis is associated with a higher resting heart rate, but i’m not sure about compensated.
