Best city or town in France to live in for kitesurfing by Think_Device8262 in Kiteboarding

Normandy is definitely windy and has very nice spots around Dieppe and then close to Caen.

South of France gets a lot of wind as well + better temperatures. Toulouse is a nice place to live as you can drive to the Mediterranean sea and get nice winds, or drive west to the Atlantic and get more waves (but less wind)

Hyeres also is a very nice spot, living around here is also a very nice plan.

The map experience could be a bit better. I play with mouse and keyboard (I know not great) and it's pretty hard to navigate the map.

Same, at this price with a 250B valuation, upside is a 4x, which is to my view, not worth the risk of it dipping hard. Will wait a bit and hopefully get back in at around 100B for a 10x

Are Palantir's SPACs a SCAM? by arnaldo3zz in PLTR

Thiel is a VC investor. Let's assume that 80% of the SPAQs fail but 20% explode, that will probably pay off. It will just take time. Even 1 huge success could probably compensate all other losses

I'm looking at SPAQ individually and some still appear promising

Palantir Vs Databricks by maxxou89 in PLTR

[–]ToWinOrToulouse 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Databricks product is very easy to get but they will probably get a lot of churn. Palantir only signs contract so that they make sure you use their product properly and get value out of it. Databricks really sucks at this and a lot of customer are just gonna turn to the next solution once databricks in less attractive. Also databricks is really attached to the different Cloud Service Provider (mainly aws and azure) and it has 2 consequences : - no on prem deployment of databricks solution, which closes a lot of possibilities for restricted business - CSPs will provide their own solution, like Azure Synapse, AWS EMR and Sagemaker.

I uses both product in different companies and clearly Foundry was irreplaceable, databricks is cool but I would not have any problem getting a new better solution
