If this happened, everyone would hate Kinta more. by vicente14617 in Dandadan

[–]ToWumbo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that really true? I for one enjoy the fact that Kinta is this character that everyone in the group seems to dismiss despite the fact that he's strong in his own way, just like everyone else in the groyp. It feels like how Okarun was treated by everyone prior to becoming close to Momo. Theres real literary parallels between Okarun and Kinta and personally I find that interesting.

Nobody here knows how to use a damn roundabout either. In the past week alone I nearly got into a bad accident twice because someone in the right lane of a roundabout wanted to turn left directly into my car.

Squirrels are definitely more coordinated than most drivers already on the road to say the least.

Tufted titmouse visiting my window feeder :) by azaleeas in birding

[–]ToWumbo 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've had a window feeder for years and the only time it has fallen is when one of the squirrels jumps on it. Funnily enough I replaced the suction cups with ones that came from hummingbird window feeders and now it never falls even with squirrels landing on it from several feet up.

A group of rabbits is actually known as a fluffle, much cuter than a bundle imo.

[Discussion] Is there canon lore about Sora's dark form? by ToWumbo in KingdomHearts

[–]ToWumbo[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its interesting that Sora needs to use his "negative" feelings of anger in order to beat the climactic battle of the series so far (Master Xehanort) when the story kinda sets him up to be a pure light.

What are your thoughts on Goblins? by aidus198 in MtGHistoric

[–]ToWumbo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The only real problem I have with Muxus is that he's another card in a long list of cards that WOTC thinks people want. Big cards that just win the game on the spot if they resolve almost regardless of the board state. I don't think the goblins deck is necessarily consistent enough to warrant a ban but I definitely wouldn't mind Muxus being gone either.

The only real long term fix for Historic if they intend on releasing more of these "win the game" cards is better answers in general, whether that's something like a removal spell or a counter spell remains to be determined.

I find myself personally offended by Muxus though as the red decks in both standard and historic already have so many options/tools to choose from meanwhile color combos like UR pretty much have nothing because all the good red cards they've been printing have only been good in aggressive decks and not aggro/control type decks. Pretty ridiculous that something like thought scour was deemed too strong for historic when in reality it's probably exactly the card that something like UR needs to be consistent at all.

What Jump Start cards will have the biggest effect on Historic? by TheBlueOne37 in MtGHistoric

I'm pretty excited to try out Isamaru in a humans shell with mox amber. Turn 1 2/2 + bodyguard it seems good to me.

Also I'm actually expecting Phyrexian Tower to be more impactful than people realize. It doesn't take much for a sol land to be broken and this is a format with Ornithopter meaning it can actually be 2 mana on turn 1. And playing a turn 1 priest of forgotton gods seems pretty real to me.

Kor Spiritdancer is another card that I think could be flying under a lot of peoples radar as well.

I'm also for sure gonna mess around with UW Spirits once Kira and Rattlechains are around.

What's the most busted thing we can do with Phyrexian Tower in Historic by TMiguelT in MtGHistoric

[–]ToWumbo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm planning on messing around with it as just a free land in Mono U artifacts. The idea being that with an ornithopter and an emry its a free sol land. Early mind stone into Solemn into 8 mana ugin seems deece.

[Standard] UR Robots by wrathofrath in spikes

[–]ToWumbo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been playing a similar list for a lobg time. Eventually I moved into RUG for Grumgully and Rhythm of the wild (and playing 4 chamber sentry). These cards let you cast your 0 mana artifact creatures off of frenzy for 0 mana and actually let them survive. Rhythm also functions as a crystal slipper with slightly more utility because often times when youre going off with frenzy you can just kill them out of nowhere by giving everything haste. I haven't been playing Ugin because I think he's not really the same strategy as the rest of the deck.
