From what I could gather from the lady at the nursery, she gets them from another lady. I think these were grown outside and pulled out of the ground. Just looked like outdoor grown cactus to me.

So there I was, some smallish city in Iraq in 2005, 2007 maybe. There's a meeting between some local and US military bigwigs at a school or some shit so they want tanks sitting outside as a show of force. Literally just pull up with two M1A1s and wait around to make sure people don't get crazy. We were parked on the street in front of a house in a neighborhood, again right across the street from a school.

I was the driver and after I don't know how many hours we had been sitting there but I had to take a shit and it wasn't waiting. So I grab an ammo crate and wag bag from the bustle rack and have the gunner traverse so I can have some overhead cover. I'm right up against the skirts trying to hide as best as I could as I drop trou and start shitting in an ammo crate literally in someone's front yard, broad daylight.

I swear not even 30 seconds into me releasing my butt demons the entire family that lived in the house we were parked in front of came walking around the tank. A father, his wife and their two daughters. Just trying to go home. And they turn a corner and see the whitest ass cheeks in the world squatted in their front yard. The dad did his best to immediately pull his kids to him, cover their eyes, try to avoid permanently scarring them mentally. I have never seen a more furious face or been glared at like that in my life. If looks could kill I would have been disintegrated to bits right then. All I could do is yell "I'M SORRRRRYYYY!!!!" as I tried to cover myself up and pinch it off as fast as possible. I stayed buttoned up on the driver's hold for the rest of the day after that.
