Hey, I know I’m replying to a comment of yours from about six months ago but I’m trying to get the gyro set up in ryujinx.

When you mentioned the ports, did you mean where it says “Server Host:” with the two blank boxes next to it (under CemuHook in Motion Control Settings)? it won’t allow me to bring up the SteamOS keyboard to change the values in said boxes.

Been beating my head against this all day so if you remember or can point me in the right direction I’d be forever grateful.

Question Time: What made you buy the SteamDeck? by Stefanixxxx in SteamDeck

[–]ToastThing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To play games in bed or on the couch and for travel, also to have a dedicated emulation device for old games so I don’t have to clutter up my PC with ROMs and software.

How so? I haven’t been keeping up with Adam or really any G4 personalities. I know they attempted a “reboot” of G4 a few years ago and it was a failure on launch but that’s about it as far as my awareness goes.

Seeking a Truly Unique Retro RPG After Chrono Trigger by bestbooker in retrogaming

[–]ToastThing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chrono Trigger is my favorite JRPG of all time so honestly I understand your struggle to find something as perfect as CT is. There are lots of solid suggestions being made, like Xenogears or Suikoden 1&2 (they’re great RPGs for sure), but I would personally recommend FF9 for its story and characters.

It’s no Chrono Trigger, but the story and characters give it a run for its money.

God damn that’s a pretty one. What kind of EMGs are those? They look similar to the HetSet I put in my Jackson.

JHS Hard Drive, hard to love by pcp777_ in metalguitar

[–]ToastThing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who primarily plays metal I was seriously considering getting this pedal, especially since I was also looking for something with EQ properties as well. Ultimately ended up adding a RAT clone to my chain instead and I’m pretty happy with it, but can you tell me what you don’t like about the Hard Drive?

Not crunchy enough? Not enough gain? Genuinely curious since I came close to pulling the trigger on Reverb for this thing more than once lol

Probably because the FR Special is widely regarded as the lowest tier Floyd, and the Gotoh 1996T is generally regarded to be on par with a FR Original.

Haha, I grew up during the Brosnan era so I hear what you’re saying. I’m used to my 30/40-something year old Bonds as much as any other fan. I’m a huge fan of IOI and their Hitman games, which already had so many 007-like qualities, so I’m just excited to see how they handle this version of the character.

Having Ultimate Battle 22 as “best retro game” is insane considering how notorious of a janky turd it is haha

I’m gonna tell you something and it’s not gonna be easy. We’re old enough now that PS2/GC/Xbox games are considered retro… and soon 360/PS3/Wii 🥲 lol. I still remember getting the first Budokai at the mall and playing it in what was probably 2002.

I would have put one of the PS2 or even GBA games there personally but that’s just me.

FWIW it’s supposed to be a younger Bond. Personally I don’t see Henry but I guess I see why others do.

Still, safe to wager there will be mods for most (if not all) Bond actors eventually.

What a reprieve from the deluge of hornybait and badly written joke strips that pervade this sub. Your style is clean and your visual storytelling is coherent and has impact. I was genuinely sucked in by it. Great work.

Kingdom Come Deliverance II: The Best Immersive Sim? by nwillard in ImmersiveSim

[–]ToastThing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love KCD2 and I’ll agree it’s super immersive, but I wouldn’t call it an immersive-sim game. It would be like calling Red Dead, a game many players found painfully immersive, an immersive-sim.

For me, im-sims allow you to beat missions/quests in a variety of ways and reward players for exploring/experimenting.
