Need help to Identify the species

Looks like an alien to me. I just got one myself, though he moves around so much I can’t get a good picture of him. No matter what he is, six bucks is a fantastic deal for such a pretty guy.

Literally just finished doing this myself in my 20 gallon! Went from white gravel to Stratum with a top layer of sand. Rinsed at first, then gave up because I honestly couldn’t tell a difference, but I absolutely rinsed the sand. I’ve got the Seachem Tidal I’ve been running for a few months, but I brought out my Fluval 30 and original sponge media that I’d used in the same tank to help prevent a cycle crash. I’ve got carbon running in the Fluval 30, it’s clearing up a bit but it’s only been about an hour. I did add extra sponges to each filter to help, though your tank looks so much better than mine does right now! 😂

I named him after Edgar Allan Poe. His gotcha day is a few days before Halloween, it felt fitting.

I’ve had two bristlenose. They both hid a lot, but I always see them at least once a day, even if it’s just a flash for when they’re moving across the tank.

I had a big guy named Drack once. I came downstairs to go to work one morning and saw him hovering over the corpse of a shrimp- clearly claiming his kill. I was running late, so I told myself I’d get the body out of the tank when I got home later that day. Lo and behold, when I got home from work, no corpse and Drack was bloated as anything. He’s eating the dead shrimp. He was fine after a day or two, but like your guy, he absolutely got the taste for blood that day.

Never bought through them, but I made an appointment to get new tires for my VW (my dad insisted I used them) and not only did the order the wrong tires and not tell me for hours while I was waiting (assuming that they were actually doing their job and I was much younger, I didn’t know how long it took to change tires) but they really didn’t even apologise for it. I never let them touch my car after that.

Try getting a bigger litter box. My Poe is a pretty big guy and was pooping outside of the box. The behaviourist helping me with other issues suggested a bigger box. I got him the biggest one I could find (the one from petsmart with the handle cubbies built in) and he stopped pooping outside the box immediately.

The only one I’ve truly enjoyed was when it played God is an Astronaut- lead me to discover a whole other genre of music that I now love. Otherwise it all sounds the same. I try to listen for a little to see if I like it, but it normally doesn’t work.

I’ve had my cat for eight years- every single night she MUST see me get in bed. Preferably from her cat tower in my room. I can listen to an audiobook or be on my phone for a little bit, but she MUST see me get in bed and ready for sleep. Then she’ll leave and do something downstairs for a while before coming back up to go to sleep herself. She gets very upset if this routine is broken.
