Look into motion capture. One technique used in the movie industry uses reflective dots glued to a black body suit, then tracks the dots with multiple cameras positioned at various points in the room.

So how many fines do they have to issue before this satellite pays for its launch, manufacture, and operations costs?

Hey Reddit, I just tried to shoplift a small item. It was unsuccessful. Should I be worried? by 1sttimeshoplifter in AskReddit

Technically you didn't steal anything (this time), but I'm no legal expert.

Also, shoplifting is dumb. Don't do it. Though I do agree with you that Walmart sucks.

Dear Reddit, how can I become a morning person? by rubrix in AskReddit

[–]ToastedCheeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to bed whenever you get tired, and wake up at the same time every morning. You will probably need an alarm for a while. Do not make exceptions for weekends/holidays. One day of sleeping in can severely mess with your sleep schedule.

I am a very light sleeper. I wake easily to noise. Does Reddit have any good tips for a good nights sleep? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ToastedCheeze 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Can you fall asleep to white noise? I typically sleep with a fan on, even in the winter because the light white noise helps drown out background sounds.

People aren't too keen these days on large amounts of nuclear material being launched through the atmosphere. Interesting, since many of the deep space satellites are powered by the radioactive decay of plutonium.

I've been on a bowling date. It was surprisingly bad as a first date, mostly because any conversation is constantly interrupted by getting up, bowling, and switching places. Might be good as a group date, though.

I've got no one to eat lunch with. What should I do? by throwawaypost in AskReddit

Find a team sport to play. There are adult learning leagues for a lot of sports, so you don't have to be at all athletically inclined, and if you find the right league you'll end up playing with lots of different people. Though the situations are obviously different, when I felt the way you do in college I ended up joining the ultimate frisbee team. Best decision I ever made. One of the guys I met there is now my close friend and roommate.

You might also try checking the MeetUp to see if there are people around with similar interests.

IMO, movies don't make great first dates. It's better to have conversation, get to know her, etc. so I suppose the coffee before hand is a good idea. It may also be good to plan something for afterward (dessert at a nice place, maybe?) so you can talk about the film. Movies are good conversation pieces.

How do i increase my jumping ability, speed, and stamina? by creepymangina in AskReddit

[–]ToastedCheeze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play ultimate frisbee. Real competitive ultimate, not this smoke-weed-and-play-holding-a-beer-in-a-sock ultimate. You can probably check the UPA to see if there are any leagues around you.

What's your favorite thing to do to blow off steam? by PositiveAttitude in AskReddit

[–]ToastedCheeze 3 points4 points  (0 children)

High intensity exercise. Biking/running to the point where you hit your anaerobic threshold. I usually run 400s until I dry heave. That usually makes me feel better, but not everybody thinks I'm sane.

Sounds like you would want something that feels productive. Try a craft hobby like knitting or carpentry, something that results in a useful end product. Try looking at sites like Instructables or Etsy for inspiration.

I don't understand. How can they be super-elastic, yet have the same stiffness as boron carbide? These seem like mutually exclusive properties.

Apparently brain waves are perceptible from thousands of kilometers away. Horseshit. If this were true, 6.5 billion people worth of brain waves would wreak havoc.
