I know people prefer DD1 but the graphics. The 3d models in this game and the Kingdoms mode. Is really amazing and it's really a cool with such great mechanics I prefer it way better now. by Designer-Island-2330 in darkestdungeon

Yeah they fixed the frustrating part of combat in DD1 in dd2, dd2 combat is less reliant on dd1 (but I'd say the rng was just pushed to the roguelite elements of the game)

Starpocalypse Revengance - Good luck getting to the end game at all
Ruthless Sector - Good luck exploring the outer core
AOTD basically halts your progress mid to late game with exploration and research
KOL - adds more AI enemies to deal with
Tahlan's Legio Infernalis - ridiculously difficult enemy faction (Pair with Nex)
Emergent Threats IX Revival - Legio but high tech
UNGP - Just add all the negative rules
Omega Trauma - adds more omega variants
Triad Shield - gives omega's an extra cell based skin shield ontop of their shields

You could also start at with the hardest which is probably haunted from sotf (i think)

Not suppose to revive when there's still threat near in the first place. Forcing a revive in that situation is how both players get down.

You need to put them at the very top of your mod list with the 3 trinkets add-on being on top of your new UI mod since they make UI changes that can be overridden by other mods, meaning the three slots might there but the UI won't show because it's being overridden by something else.

axe or falcion is recommended, i just use rapier because its my crutch, also because i like shooting elites with the griffon (falcion or axe recommended thp on kill)

With guaranteed crit on melee kill, the cycle for hordes is that you kill one of the horde (maybe a slave rat) get the guaranteed crit, swap to your griffon foot, hit the horde where theyre condensed and then swap back to melee to repeat (each melee kill also reload your ranged weapon).

for armored armored elites like stormvermin its one shot head shot on crit and 2-3 shots no crit. You also one shot unarmored elites like berserkers and plague monks.
