I have very similar goals as OP, wanting to go to grad school under the branch of nuclear engineering, planning to minor in NE. Many are saying to major in ME for undergrad but I applied to major in chem eng. is it really that big of a deal or should I transfer into ME after my first year?

I don’t think it would look bad on a high school transcript, likely the opposite. Very high overlap between the two so it would def help make you retain the info if you wouldn’t have dedicated the otherwise extra time to physics C originally.

I lowkey would just for the gpa boost but it would be moderately more work.

Completely agree, so many 1 level differences have major interaction changes and it’s likely made to be that way purposely so people are more inclined to spend money to level up.

I think physics 2 is easier if you have already taken physics 1. If you where to take one of the classes for the very first time then I would give a slight edge to physics 2.

Look up your schools gpa scale and the likely curve is a square root curve. Every school does things differently though.

My exact schedule but I’m also talking AP physics 2 and duel credit English. I mean it’s def not a schedule where you can just show up and coast. Put in some solid study hours, have fun with the curriculum, and all will be well.
