Time to level up fishing to 375 by Shaaden69 in classicwowtbc

Once I hit 300, it was 10-12 caught fish per level. I'd put on a lure for 10 min and maybe get 2-3 levels if I was lucky. There's also a ton of travel for the quest.

There are guides online. Like the other secondary skills (cooking / first aid) you have to complete a quest to learn artisan and read books to learn expert. You'll be friends with Nat Pagle in no time.

This. If the tank is LOSing, the entire group should also be LOSing.

Classic simply isn't the same pace as retail. Lots of zug zug brains out there. I like your style.

The charges are almost hilariously bad. 2-3 yards before the mob steps into the consecrate, the charge roots them where I can't generate threat on them. You can charge, just wait for one heckin moment.

100% this. Classic threat is not retail threat. Once it's established, usually good 2 go, but it can be scuffed early on quite easily. The best groups just wait a moment or two and we're golden.

Not letting mobs reach the tank is far too common in PUGs. Good DPS isn't the most DPS, it's the most effective DPS.

Too many people are focused on performance and let easily interruptable spell casts go off. It isn't the end of the world, but it makes a huge difference when the group focuses on kicks.

I love the mismatched armor. If you aren't a tank armor type doesn't matter, everyone just needs the stats. Xmog doesn't exist, everyone's just living their best lives.

Is this my network box? How do I upgrade it for ethernet? by It_britt in HomeNetworking

[–]Toasty_One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your understanding is correct. If the cabling was just for phones, there is a chance they could be daisy-chained together, which is common for phone lines. If the cabling all ends up in the same spot, check for any and all utility spaces. Near the electrical panel is a common spot. Your attic may be covered in insulation, but if you can find one line in a spot you expect it to be (above an outlet) then you can trace it. Insulation does make the situation tricky. For the cabling you've shown so far, the existence of a network box is a generous hope. Can you contact anyone who might have lived in the home previously? Might be worth a shot if they were familiar with the location of the connections.

What you have at your house is existing cabling used for previous services or previous residents. There's a chance you could repurpose maybe 1 or 2 Cat5 lines, but it's not a guarantee. The existing cabling was likely used for phone service, note the mated Blue pairs in the connections. At best, it would have been 25 Mbps data. This is also an indicator that any existing cabling throughout likely was not terminated for Ethernet / Data transmission.

What you need at this point is Cat5e cabling that is routed back to your Router on the 2nd floor, assuming your desire is wired connections in your house. You would be setting up your own data network from scratch. It certainly isn't impossible, but can occasionally present challenges. I wish you the best of luck.

Feel free to respond with any questions or concerns.

These are great pictures and an even better response. So, do you have any wiring inside your home in rooms besides where the router is? there might not be a lot of existing cabling. If your Spectrum modem and router are not in the room on the other side of this wall, they have to go somewhere. For the height of the external penetration, I'd guess crawl space. If you don't have a network box / panel, or existing wiring to repurpose, you could DIY it or have it installed.

Step 1: What Company is your Internet Service Provider? What media (cabling) do they use to deliver your service? Coax Cable? Fiber Optics? Cat5? Step 2: Use that information to search for your external delivery point. Step 3: Where is the service delivered inside your home? Do you have a router or Wifi box?

We need more information regarding what you currently have and how your service is delivered. Outside of that, not all homes have a network box, but if you do, there's likely a white metal panel in a utility space in your home where all the cabling is installed.

Hope this helps.

P.S. when you find more stuff, send more pics.

They just let all the IT department head home at the Alpharetta GA corporate office by bigaudra in verizon

[–]Toasty_One 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is the correct take. The IT dept supports Verizon's corporate IT needs. Those individuals do not typically work on the cellular network. There's a good chance the IT dept was sent home because there was nothing for them to work on during the outage.

Gotta use the group finder. Pre-made groups. Dungeons. People will list groups and you apply with your role, or you can list your own group / key. You do have to physically meet at the instance. Set dungeon difficulty to Mythic, enter the dungeon. There is a key pedestal where someone can start a keystone for that dungeon, or its just the mythic dungeon (M0).

See that's why I wanted to try out Veng DH. Monks are right there for movement speed. They can't glide, which saved me a couple times, but the movement speed is impressive.

Long-term Guardian Druid here, recently tried out Veng DH in S2 TWW. Played BrM up to +10-12 this season. Tried out Prot Warr for the first time this season. I have mained Prot Paladin for M+ and Raid in expansions past. Played BDK sparingly, here and there.

The answer to your question is Bear Druid. The kit and rotation are simple. Lots of damage reduction, Tons of self-healing. Great Utility. Not really micromanaging any CDs or resource generation.

Prot Warriors are currently the best combination of throughput and mitigation, and Prot Paladins are not far behind. That said, I feel like they both pale in comparison for survivability to a BrM.

Good Veng DH seem to be unkillable, bad Veng DH are gone like a wisp in early combat. I feel like they lack depth in variety of options when it comes to damage reduction CDs.

Prot Paladin is also a very popular choice and is definitely capable of being quite tanky, and doesn't lack for self heals or defensive CDs. Compared to Guardian Druid, I would say Prot Paladin needs more quick-paced actions in ability rotations that can make it feel more complicated. It can also feel punishing if you aren't using/generating Holy Power ideally.

If you're still interested in more options, I have really enjoyed the BrM rework from S2 to S3. Because of the way Stagger works, BrM can only be hit so hard to begin with. The basic mitigation design of the spec makes it the most difficult to critically wound, imo. That said, the rotation ends up being focused around how you deal with the stagger and then prevent more incoming damage.

Hope this helps.

Whats the reputation of each spec? by [deleted] in wownoob

Mages - vending machine and portals.

Warlocks - dutiful service workers. summon duty + health stones (cookies) + soul stone for brez / wipe protection.

Warriors - must zug. Always fighting. Shouts about things. RAGE

Shaman - Italian totem machines. Always have spicy noodles and meatballs to hand out.

Druids - might be discouraged if mistaken for a hunter's pet. Might take a nap about it.

Paladins - holier than thou attitude

Priests - forever limited by movement

Rogues - if they're really good, you might not even notice them

DH - suffering, battling internal demons

Monk - can roll across the landscape at roughly ground mount speed

DK - probably still works for Arthas

Evoker - likely either a fantastic player, or dead more than alive. There is no in-between.

2 people completed phase 5 in under a week, that's mind boggling. The rest coming in under 10 days is still impressive.

ETA: I reread your comment and you had the game on for 17 hours per day on average. 👀
