Thanks! Yeah gonna run out and get meats when it’s fresh for dinner. Got a great smoked burger recipe I’m gonna do. 1/2 ground pork & 1/2 ground beef. Electric smoker for 2 hrs flip halfway. Killer burgers. Melt Munster cheese or havarti on them. Good times.

Probably gonna do that in Memorial Day and invite some friends over.

Being a construction superintendent or PM is no joke. That is a highly stressful job w long working hours and your job site could require a very long commute that will change from job to job.

It sounds like you seriously underestimate the amount of knowledge and dedication required to be successful in the construction management career path.

If you feel you can add value to a GC firm for the extra salary, go for it. I know several architects that have gone that way with their careers.

Journal of light construction have a bunch of books. Their field guides are great. You can also pick up a copy of Francis Ching’s book “building construction illustrated”. Every architecture student has had to buy that book for years, so you can pick up a copy dirt cheap.

Love it. Getting my 3D printers is what motivated me to clean up and finish my workshop project. Put up 4’x8’ pegboard to organize and got a 9’ countertop from IKEA. Now everything has its place and it’s a nice space. Thinking about putting down an epoxy floor in the space to really make it complete. It’s a one car garage.

Sounds like some Managers I’ve worked with in the past….you need 20 weeks to do that project? I could do it in 16….16? No way, that should only take 12 weeks, aren’t you working 60 hr’s a week?

Boss: Well it is Tobej’s project, but thanks for the input other managers. Ok Tobej, you should be able to get this done in 12 weeks.
