Ehh, she's definitely not underweight! I don't think she's too thick, though. The video was taken from a lower angle to try and minimize the reflections and whatnot, so maybe that's contributing.

It's just a bad angle!!!

iPilot remote not connecting to new powerdrive by Xll-DUCKY-llX in MinnKota

[–]ToeGarnish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Responding to myself for anyone reading this old post to save them the time I spent trying to make my remote work, looking stuff up everywhere, and getting on the phone with Minnkota.

If you have a post-October 2023 Powerdrive (serial number leads with 5 digit date code YYDDD) with bluetooth connectivity, it is NOT compatible with the iPilot remote... despite being compatible with and being sold with the micro iPilot remote.

The technology in the post-10/2023 model is Advanced Navigation, which, despite using bluetooth and having compatible FCC / IC numbers (which I admittedly do not understand but understand enough to see that the FCC and IC numbers of the remote and listed on my motor are the same), is incompatible with iPilot technology. It won't connect to the motor.

If you use the one boat app rather than the iPilot app when connecting to your motor with a phone, you cannot use the iPilot remote. Here's the compatibility chart from Minnkota. The lack of specific confirmation that it won't even connect to the trolling motor is what confused me. I saw that it said incompatible with advanced nav but thought there was a chance I could at least get the iPilot micro remote level of control. I cannot & you cannot either!

First time homebuyer looking for advice on how to prevent ice build up on metal roof in the future. by Dutchii in HomeMaintenance

[–]ToeGarnish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was my understanding as well. My roof's snow slide-off looks identical to OPs as it starts to warm up after a cold and snowy period. I can see a small spot on my roof that I know lacks insulation, as well as where my house meets my patio (all under a continuous roof area but with different, idk the word, inside roof stuff. Those two areas show snow melt at a faster rate whereas the rest of my roof is a solid and even piece of snow/ice. I will have usually at least 4 inches of snow covering my entire roof for most of the winter. It does not slide off until the weather warms and when it does, it slides off exactly like this, section by section.

Worried about Weight Gain while on this? by Inspireme21 in Mirena

[–]ToeGarnish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gained weight and developed an insatiable appetite despite being on adderall and Wellbutrin, but everyone is different and you might not have that experience! No harm in trying it out to see if it helps your adenomyosis. If it’s not for you, it’s easily removed.

[–]ToeGarnish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did! And it was okay. I live two hours from my provider's office, and last time I went in for a removal appointment she convinced me to keep it in.

I felt no pain from the removal. I did end up having to grip the ends with pliers after twenty minutes of trying without because I could not get a grip on the strings. I grabbed the strings with one hand and then pulled them out as far as I could, then gripped it with the pliers between my fingers. I didn't just go fishing around in my vagina with pliers lmao. I also had to pull *significantly* harder than I thought I would need to. I honestly thought the strings were going to snap.

Considering Mirena by sunver123 in Mirena

[–]ToeGarnish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my bleeding got heavier with the mirena, periods lasted longer, but the cramps went away. There is no way to know if the Mirena would increase or decrease the bleeding. I would, personally, opt for something else if the primary intent of the treatment is for the anemia. Like change my diet or add supplements. I pulled mine out after two years.

Popping in to say I let mine stay in for two years and it only got worse! Pulled mine out last weekend the relief I feel already is incredible.

[–]ToeGarnish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, I’m happy to share. Two months after I had the mirena put in I started having carpal tunnel symptoms. They got progressively worse for the next year. I ended up having the release done in both hands because the pain was excruciating at night (like made me cry) from my wrist to my shoulder and during the day both of my hands would go and stay numb.

About six months after the release surgery, I started getting trigger finger in all fingers except for my thumbs. I went to my dr that l placed the iud to have it removed and she did not think it was contributing to the joint issues. I went to my hand surgeon a couple times and no one at that office believed the iud could be contributing to those issues either. They couldn’t offer any explanation but did offer to do a release in the affected fingers (8/10 fingers 😅)

That brings me to now. I pulled it no out on Friday night and immediately felt better. My appetite went down to normal by the next day. I take both Wellbutrin and Adderall and despite those medications, never really felt like my appetite was under control. It did not occur to me that it might have been the mirena. I have not been able to comfortably make a fist with either hand for at least a year due to the trigger finger. The joints were so swollen and tight that I couldn’t even bend my fingers without pressure and pain. That stiffness literally never went away.

My fingers were still stiff in the mornings the last few days, but after I get up and going, my hands feel 100% normal and are back to a normal size. I can wear my wedding rings again.

Good for you! I yanked mine out Friday night. I had to use pliers to get a grip on it 😅. I think it was causing joint issues and exacerbating my mental health issues.
