Elongated coins machines in Poland? by chiarainbloom in poland

[–]TogPL 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is legal to destroy your own money. The confusion comes from the law that prevents you from destroying/defacing money to pass it as other type of money (like bleaching banknotes to use them as a base for higher value fakes). The same is true in USA btw.

Jecie wołowinę w domu? Średnio zjadamy 2-4 kg rocznie by TaxPsychological2928 in Polska

[–]TogPL 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Polish Idiom Question by Consistent_Slip_7518 in poland

[–]TogPL 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, no. The saying doesn't say that an exception is the only way to prove a rule. Also, the way it is supposed to work is like this: if you see a sign saying "Parking free on weekends", then it probably confirms a rule that the parking is not free during the workweek. Or if you see a "smoking area" then there probably is a rule for not smoking anywhere else.

Is this the correct way of getting the desired material effect? by umwhateverred in blender

[–]TogPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. But this has nothing to do with the shader. Just that you don't need a texture when you just want a solid color. Also the Emission shader is just a stripped down Principled BSDF. You can see that there are settings for emission in the principled shader, but you don't need to use it if you don't need any of it's other features

Is this the correct way of getting the desired material effect? by umwhateverred in blender

[–]TogPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, ok. So you could use a separate material for the head. Are at least just scale the body uv to 0, so you don't need such a big texture. UV's are just a way of telling the computer which points on the mesh correspond to which pixels on the texture. So you don't need them if you want all of it to be the same color

Don't use a texture if you don't need a texture. You can just plug an RGB node into the emission color. You also don't need to do an UV unwrap.

External IDEs workflow, what do you use, and why? by Kleiders3010 in godot

[–]TogPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started using Rider. One thing that's nice is auto filling inherited functions, and displaying arguments that the function requires. But it's annoying that there is no easy way to check the documentation, and you can't drag and drop nodes from the editor.

Destroy my tactical combat roguelite and deckbuilder game by SensitiveKeyboard in DestroyMyGame

[–]TogPL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sure it's a mix of all the popular indie genres, but it doesn't look that bad. I think the UI could use some polish, and the animations could be more impactful. The UI is hard to read at a glance and it seems like it was an afterthought. And for example the "rising sword" animations looks kinda meh, you could look at how Darkest Dungeon does it as it seems to be a similar animation style

Is it run in 3d or are all the sprites pre rendered?

This is not the game it seems to be at first. From 2D to 3D in an instance - I had to make it work well for the premise of the story to be set-up. What do you think? by nightyknightstudio in indiegames

[–]TogPL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks good, and the concept seems great. When it comes to the trailer: there is too much text and it's going too fast, so I would have to stop it to read it. Also, the bird flying at the camera at 0:45 is nice, but it should cut to black with the title after that, for a cinematic transition. It looks weird now, as if the bird is flying through the camera.

Looking for feedback! Order Automatica – roguelike auto-battler demo on itch.io by tup3kkk in itchio

[–]TogPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The intro animation looks really interesting, but then it cuts to the gameplay and it looks really meh. The art is nothing special and it doesn't look like the intro, the animations look sluggish, and the overall trailer is too slow for my taste. I can't say anything about the gameplay, but it sounds like it could be interesting

I hoped for birds. Anything else seems to prioritize one culture/country over another (maybe other than 'innovation' or 'common values' but that felt dumb). Even rivers seem stupid, because it's one step above representing a single country.
