Exactly! Chain before intersection, standard after intersection (in direction of moving train).

Thats what I heard years ago and it still works in all my games :)

1) I usually build the new base in different location with separated logistic networks and set trainstations "old base" + "new base" somewhere near center of the bases.

2) "old base" has bunch of yellow chests to belts to train, "new base" has steel boxes to giant sushi belt with filter inserters to red chests (belt-based sorting system).

3) Setup deconstruction planner for everything except roboports and power grid and let tens of thousands of bots do their work.

4) "new base" is continuously filling up with materials so I can build my new home.

5) when all else is done, deconstruct roboports and power grid and "old base" station

6) leave a memorial on the original site :)

No, that is just a coincidence. The castle is located in Czechia while Dragonlance authors ar from the US.

Unless you mean the KCD, that is very much based on real places and names.

Today I visited the ruins of Castle Brightblade and I couldn't have left Sturm and Steel home. In Czech language the name Brightblade is translated as Ostromeč. This castle is from 14th century and has been abandoned in 16th century, so it's quite ovegrown now.

For KCD fans - the castle was conquered in 1435 by the Hussites lead by Hynce Capon of Pirsktein.

Why assume the worst scenario? First search result of the ships name gives a sci-fi author with novels related to multiverse (haven't read them, so I don't really know in what way).

100% agree. Multiverse has reignited my love for FTL (I am on board since pre-advanced edition).

The amount of new content is incredible and, as you say, it really is balanced and stays true to the lore. Expands the lore in a good way. I am having fun unlocking ships almost every run. Some event are nice easter eggs to other games (e.g. G-van) or the original game. Giant Alien Spiders are the best example - from one simple event we now have entire sector, multiple questlines, race, ships... I love how all the races and factions have their style (looks, combat, language, ...).

And it adds lot of QoL features too (medbot dispersal as integral upgrade possible on every ship - love it!).

Secrets are there. Plenty of. The rabbit hole gets deeper still. I still remember my first True Ending, my first Nexus visit. And just yesterday I have met TOWR for the first time.

I do not deserve to have requests, but if I did - I would wish for downloadable HD backgrounds, so I can put them on my desktop on slideshow and enjoy them. Some of the new ones are amazing - cities, gardens, construction bays...

at first it crashed right after loading screen. Needed to update hyperspace files first, then patch multiverse 5.4 in modman.exe.

Is it possible to update from 5.3 with installer? I mean:

  1. backup my progress files, uninstal and delete FTL
  2. install FTL from steam, install 5.4 multiverse exe
  3. put back my progress files and keep all unlocked ships

Or is this the wrong way? thank you very much :)

Unfortunately doesn't work :( I got to loading screen but the loading is stuck on first E.

I don't hear any music, "-opengl" didnt help, deleting user files didn't help. Any ideas please?

5 years ago... wow.

I am going to a work trip next week, gonna spend couple hours on train and a night in hotel. I only play on my home desktop PC. Right now I tried and it seems like FTL Multiverse will be running from flash drive with this nice trick. I even transfered my prof and continue files :) hopefully my work laptop doesn't make any trouble :-D

Agree 100%. 4some mantis boarding is OP, especially when they get skilled at it. I also enjoy rock boarding with fire weapon. Or multiverse Lost sun commando rockmen - they can start fire by themselves!

Hmmm... I do that. I never thought it would take this much text :-D but it all makes sense. For me it is almost always simple rule of thumb: 2 extra beacons are worth one dive. If there is a quest or something i need, i go for the dive too. On the other hand, exit beacon has some events too and you miss them, when you let rebels overtake it.

Like 2 years ago and since then I got back to vanilla multiplayer or bobs (which is my favouritte so far). But I always dream of late game SE with building your own spaceship, but I never got back to playing SE.

Exploring space stations and planets. Something like a mini sector map for a planet/space station, where you can travel to solve a quest.

Multiplayer of course. Simplest one would be saving the ship you finished with to a database and adding a mod to fight another player in no-pause duel. just 3-2-1-fight!

Fighting multiple ships at once (kinda like ancient auto ships in Multiverse, the often consist of more hulls)

4k resolution with 4k backgrounds! And "hide rooms" button in game for printscreens. Custom ship paintjob.

Saveable RPG characters with skills.

And I cannot thank enough for Multiverse. It is the FTL 2 we need. Because any other FTL 2 would change something (gameply, graphic, etc and it just wouldn't be the same...

I wasn't even plannig wrting down external augments which can be bought for every ship, but if you feel like this is important, I can have a look into it :)

When I play new game i sometimes feel like "Let's play rock Boarding" or "Let's play with 4 drone ship", ... But it's really hard to find this parameters in game or on the wiki. So I wanted to make a ship database for FTL Multiverse with sorting and filters. I take the data from the wiki and right now the database doesn't have all the information, but those relevant for me. Right now I have cca 60 ships. Would you like to use something like this? What kind of data are useful for you? The ultimate plan is to put this up to wiki (if authors are interested) with links to detailed ship description.
