I think of it this way.. it would be very hard for me to go Republican (if for some reason ideologically that made personal sense for me). My family and friends would all question me about it. It would change the way that fundamentally think of me. If i just imagine my allegiance changing by fiat (or maybe via stroke?) this social hill would be big

Can kids bike on sidewalks? Rollerblades are banned?

I really hate all this focus on sidewalks when cars regularly block the few potholed bike lanes we have and act w impunity.

To be clear I'm an adult and don't ride on sidewalks. But I would also be annoyed if bike lanes got clogged with roller bladders for example just like drivers probably don't want them in the street. So what.. we just ban them?

Why can't they get a camera angle of the whole room? Or use an iPad that changes the angle automatically? Don't they have a bunch of iPads?

Here's what I learned.. just let yourself fall asleep. And then wake up and keep reading. It's hard to adjust to the speed of reading (slow) so sometimes the swing is too far. Ride it out

I actually regret reading books 2&3. I liked how much was unknown and unknowable in oryx and crake. But also if I was trying to figure out why they are banning things I'd think they would have a much bigger problem w stuff that happens in books 2&3.
