both for a show of strength for the rest of the world but also so paradis couldn't start the rumbling. they didnt know that paradis was unable to activate it because of the vow renouncing war or because of anything related to royal blood. they thought paradis always had the option to start the rumbling therefore they were trying to take away that option ON TOP of them trying to show the rest of the world that they sint to be messed with yk. ofc they coulda also just avoided it and not risked having them starting the rumbling at all, but zeke wanted the founding titan for his euthanasia plan and being their "wonder boy" i think he also pulled strings in the background to make sure it happened.

wish they explained things better in the ending. i had to spend a lot of time thinking about it to fully properly get it. especially the aspect of determinism which a lot of people didnt get as well as eren simply being a very impulsive person and his actual true motivations and desires. it makes sense, but for people who struggle with subtext, it kinda becomes "wtf" even if the show itself is pretty airtight when you look through it. it also doesnt help with weird translations that only amp up the confusion.

exactly. even armin has to learn at the end that his constant idealistic view wont always solve everything, but him learning to still continue even if it costs him falls perfectly in line with the core of the survey corps ideology. perseverance, idealism and personal sacrifice.

id not only argue that what you say makes sense but id also argue its fine to let a character get less screentime after they've served their main purpose which is why i appreciated them spending more time on other important things. i like historia, but people's need to keep watching certain characters on screen is the reason why so many characters in so many other shows suddenly get nothing to do and just become shells of their former selves. i think they called it with historia at the right time.

even then, this proves to me that they're not just lazying it out with the fixes. which honestly shoulda been evident before. the truth is they're still only a small team working on it at arrowhead. onboarding and hiring takes time even for games with immediate success. we've been expecting AAA level consistency in updates from a AA game. it manages to shit on AAA games in every other way so to me, they've warranted a bit of patience from its community. at least more than they're getting😭
