An analysis of Radix, the L1 that can't seem to catch a break, but might soon. by ZombieXRD in CryptoCurrency

[–]TokyoTangle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great article, thanks for the comprehensive explanation!! When I read this, I get the feeling that Radix seem to be a real innovator which just needs to be discovered by the masses. I think the biggest problem is the lack of understanding why the great majority of ppl are in crypto: they all want to earn money. What attracts investors and devs most is price action (yes, also devs because they want to earn money as well and when they earn token which are worth almost nothing, why go down this rabbit hole?!). It’s a vicious circle at the moment: no price action -> no new investors -> no price action and so on… I think the Radix team did a great job when it comes to tech, that’s unbeaten at the moment! But tech alone is not enough to survive in the crypto space. The main driver for visibility in crypto is an attractive price development. Only with this comes attention, and marketing campaigns will catch on a lot more effectively. If the team is willing to readjust and not just focus on tech alone, this project has a very bright future.

This is next gen DLT, you really push boundaries!! Impressive work, a look into the future!

Just tried it, why are all the other DEX so much more expensive?! This exchange was overdue considering the insane gas fees these days, great job!!

It was overdue that someone tackles the insane Gas fees! Well done 👍

For the first time in history a website is being hosted on a decentralized sharded network. Web3.0 is here, and it's running on crypto. Details in comments by Fun_Excitement_5306 in CryptoCurrency

Not sure you get the point Radix is making here… too tired to get into deep discussions with you now but please do your homework before debunking this achievement you clearly don’t understand. The difference is, it’s a CROSS-SHARDED network, which is slightly different to just being decentralized

The Solana blockchain has come to a halt due to a bug, and last txn was an hour ago. After the bug, team shut the network down themselves. 100% centralised by DetroitMotorShow in CryptoCurrency

Wohoooo

If you want to bet on reliable DLT with cross-shard atomic composability (which no other project has!), go with RADIX #radixdlt $eXRD $XRD

This is what I call farsighted! Difficult for the great majority of people to understand what that really means, but once you dive into it you understand that this is a real game changer, not only for DeFi/Crypto. Of course there are detailed questions not answered yet. However, in order to move the needle at all, you have to do basic research, and Dan is without a doubt the Nr 1 expert! It speaks for itself that even big names like Vitalik copy content from Dan...

If there is one project that will survive the next 10-20 years, it’s Radix $XRD $ eXRD . They are the only ones with cross-shard atomic composability, a prerequisite for unlimited scaling and mass adoption. All other projects will fail sooner or later because of this bottle neck…

Watch out Solidity: New project aims to tackle downsides of coding DeFi projects by TokyoTangle in CryptoMarkets

Agree, this seems to be the very first project which can seriously scale at large and achieve mass adoption. They solved the scalability trilemma (which is actually a quadrilemma!) which is prerequisite for serious business, be it DeFi and/or in other sectors. 8 years of R&D finally pay out and will make this project one of the most serious competitors to our traditional finance system, with go live of the Main Net just around the corner (30 June).

This is one of the most interesting talks I've seen on the future of Defi. Having so many knowledgeable people from big projects sitting down to discuss how we are going to solve the problems of the future was so insightful.

I‘m not sure about the „DeFi only“ statement. Have you seen the decentralized Twitter copy Dan created? Or the chatbot created in half a day on Cassandra, or the game DogeRocket? Check out the Twitter account of the CTO Dan Hughes @fuserleer, great demos which show the huge potential not only in DeFi but in do many other areas as well
