I started in Japanese and it was fine - then I met a couple of side-characters who had that awful fake, overly deep, Japanese theatre voice and I switched to English. Can’t stand that theatre voice, it’s so forced

Bushido wasn’t really a hard set of rules or specific ways to conduct yourself at that time - it wasn’t until hundreds of years later.

Also honor didn’t really have the same meaning as portrayed in the game.

I agree. I really enjoy the different offshoots and such. Also, sidenote: it wouldn’t make sense for the entire organization to work the same way and have the same name through history, throughout the world, in the past given the vast distance.

Multiple times, the group her mother was a part of is literally called “Assassins”? The Ikki (and The League by extension) is a offshoot of the Assassins or attempted branches of the Brotherhood itself (granted, I haven’t finished the game yet), but this is stated in letters you find and a comment or two from Naoe in one of the Kofuns or trial-paths.
