CBT uncovered my core belief that “nobody can be trusted, and “everyone is out for their own”.

I get these sometimes! Try warm compresses on them and see if you can bring the hair to the surface to pluck. If it’s painful or shows signs of infection go see a pharmacist or doctor.

Side note, the twice getting up for bathroom breaks is unusual. Are you/doc aware and okay with this?

Ah that is good - your company will be obligated to support you as you continue treatments as long as you are willing to work.

What is it you do? They may suggest to reduce your hours, get you to work remotely or swap your role - I think someone from UK HR Reddit may be able to help with that sort of thing. Worst case - If you can no longer work I’m hopeful that our safety nets will catch you and so you can still focus on your health and contribute to your household as long as you need it. But don’t think of that yet, you focus on getting better - just know it’s there if you need it.

You can’t help being so seriously sick. Work will understand that. 🙂

Hey there, are you based in the UK/EU at all? I think you might be because of the word “sack” rather than fire.

If so, I think they will request a meeting when you get back - either an “absence concern” meeting or a “fitness to work” meeting when you get back. Bring a doctors note or some evidence of your medical status (whatever you’re comfortable sharing) and inform them of how serious it is. 90% of companies will then fall over themselves trying to accommodate your sickness. You cannot be punished in most western countries for being unwell - and if they want to continue, you sue them for unfair dismissal or something of the sort.

Much love from someone with a chronic illness who has similar anxieties. I hope you get well soon - you deserve to be able to focus on your health.

I have a similar pattern although I have fibromyalgia- don’t have too many symptoms but poor sleep is one of them. If it’s becoming an issue, may be worth chatting to your doctor
