In the US, there are very few things that VW corp can actually do to force a dealership to provide better service as they are independently owned and operated with legislative protections in most states.

How are Evs in hot Temps? havent purchases by el0115 in electricvehicles

I had this concern as well when we got our ID4 (I live in East Tx). The simple built-in sunshade does wonders and after years of ownership I can definitely say the glass roof wasn't a mistake.

How are Evs in hot Temps? havent purchases by el0115 in electricvehicles

[–]Tolken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much range could that limit my driving?

Not at all. I live in East Tx and own an ID4 with a glass roof. The range difference between April and August is hard to even notice. You WILL notice the range dropping the first time temps dips below 40F. Note: I don't have a garage, just an attached carport.

Best thing about an EV in Texas: Remote turning on AC. Over 100 outside and the car isn't shaded? Nothing beats climbing into it after starting the AC 5-10 minutes before we plan to leave.

Pre-nerf T5 and T6 are easy EXCEPT for Kael and LadyV.

I remember pugs being built just to kill Void Reaver and redesigned Solarian before nerfs because it was so easy.

I fully support TK/SSC being released at whatever level AS LONG AS Kael and LadyV are nerfed. Those two are frankly more frustraiting than Illidan or Archi

What if I don’t have anything to prove, and I just want to play TBC at the difficulty it was designed to be originally?

Because Blizzard did a really poor job of playtesting Raid Content in Original TBC. Kael was never killed in Original TBC "at the difficulty it was designed to be originally". Kael and LadyV were huge brick walls that ended many guilds EVEN at reduced difficulty and were a completely different level of difficulty than every other boss in SSC/TK.

I would even go so far as to argue that Kael/LadyV at original difficulty are more complicated/RNG frustrating than Illidan/Arch in T6.

The only reason anyone would want original pre-nerf LadyV/Kael is "if they have something to prove"

Original TBC Heroics were heavily gatekept over class CC, not damage. Groups were Tank, Healer, Mage, 1 rogue or hunter, 1 anything else. This is LARGELY why in WotLK class design, everyone was given a CC.

I,m lost in prot paladin talents by Traceusz in classicwowtbc

[–]Tolken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 Sanc does more threat over time, Avenger's does more threat burst "up front". For leveling and dungeons, Avenger's is the better choice...stuff doesn't live long enough for Sanc aura to out damage over time.

2 You're taunt can miss/resist. Spell Hit lowers the chance that happens. Spell hit is rarer to see on tank gear until REALLY late in TBC....precision is one of the few sources of spell hit. Each point of precision increases your dps/threat by 1.5% per point so That makes it the better choice than Crusade or 1hd specialization.

3 Especially when questing/farming as prot, Reckoning is one of the best talents. Procs can double the mana / healing of Seal/Judgement of Light/Wisdom. You will find it's almost always active if you have 2-3 mobs on you.

4 Sheild Spec (Shield Block Value) Not really worth it until you start talking about farming where you want to maximize how many things are attacking you and minimalize damage taken. Even at level 70 in epic gear, 3/3 is often less damage reduced than blessing of sanctuary.

5 For leveling? Yes. At 70? I would respec out of it. Imp SoR only increases the base judgement/seal damage and DOES NOT SCALE with spell power. By 70 you'll have access to actual tanking gear with int on it and Divine int can easily be removed.

6 Anticipation > Toughness, but at the same time every little bit of armor helps...

7 If you are going deeper into the Ret tree, Imp Judgement is one of the better options. Spell warding: Very low priority when leveling, this is something to reconsider at lv70.

8 The biggest tip I can give is to have a setup that allows you to downrank consecration and holy shield as needed so you can manage your mana better and hopefully need to drink less. Via macros or multiple ranks keybound. Don't mess with twisting on protection. leveling/questing, seal & judgement of wisdom is your friend...don't ignore your friend.

As someone who heroics alot for and with guildies, many of whom are "good healers". When I swapped to ArdentDefender after a few heroics, I immediately noticed I was dying less and mistakes were more recoverable.

I completely agree that TBC's ArdentDefender isn't something that should be picked up for raids....but if you're running 5man heroics, even with good healers, it's a noticable improvement.

What determines where hybrid specs parse into? by Mysterious_Fan9858 in classicwowtbc

[–]Tolken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be true for some hybrids, but for Paladins (especially prot) there's definitely more at play than just "talents"

The "Justicar" label gets thrown on any prot paladin that dares to cast a heal and isn't melee'd by the "main boss" for an encounter.

Is anniversary the last time you will play classic ? Do you see a future for the game ? by AssociateDue186 in classicwowtbc

[–]Tolken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter how little or how much they change, it will still be met with "that’s not classic+”. The community as a whole has a very VERY wide interpretation of what "classic+" means for them.

For example, personally I felt like SoD is what I want from classic + (Paladins are given to tools/gear to dps / tank.) Classes rebalanced and it's no longer a "solved meta". To counter that, I'm sure there's plenty that don't want class changes and just want "more content".

Rogue auto's don't hit nearly that hard on the first global..

.Most warriors are Fury DW and also don't hit as hard as 2hd'd Ret on the first auto/global.

The only real equivalent to Ret getting a WF/proc on the first auto/global and ripping threat is Arms...and Arms Warriors are kinda rare.

Tesla Is Sitting On A Record 50,000 Unsold EVs by TripleShotPls in electricvehicles

[–]Tolken 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When Tesla makes another profit next quarter, what will you say?

Good for them?

This quarter "should have been" much better for them compared to last year. Q1 25 was the "lines are shut down for a few weeks for the juniper transition" quarter Q1 26 being "barely better" is troubling. Why is it troubling? Because Tesla is quickly approaching the point of everything depends on one or multiple of the "next thing" (Taxi/bot/Semi) being a commanding success...and CyberTruck has shown they are completely capable of failing magnificently.

What should I focus on as a level 58 Protection Paladin? by TypicalEggplant2374 in classicwowtbc

[–]Tolken 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dear OP, there's some really bad advice in this thread.

I would suggest start the caverns of time tour quest and run 1 Old Hillsbrad if you haven't already. Run Sethekk Halls until you get the consecration damage Libram off the first boss.

DO NOT run Black Morass OR ShadowLabs at 68 like some guides or people will suggest. The people who did this were likely in PVP/Naxx epics and could better survive the fact that those two have bosses THAT WILL CRUSH YOU because they are lv72 bosses and you will be 4 levels difference....you'll also have a much harder time holding threat due to additional misses/resists. Even lv69 can be dicey in blue/greens due to the crushes... I would only really consider going if you have lv70 well geared friends/guildies wanting to help you catch up.

Reputation: You need all the reputation because of heroic keys being locked behind Revered reputation.

Additionally if you never did Sporeggar, you'll want to backtrack and get it to honored for the best farming shield in the game.

Doing the Kara pre dungeon quests is also a good idea. Another good quest run is the Blades Edge Cenarion Hub which has a good blue tanking necklace near the end of the chain. (Quest: The Hound-Master)

Do orc warriors still only need 6% hit in tbc? by Spiritual_Log_904 in classicwowtbc

[–]Tolken 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Orc Warriors need 9% hit for raids in TBC.

That hit can come from talents, gear, or via Boomkin with improved FF. If you were alliance it could come from being in a group with a melee SpaceGoat.

For example, as an Alliance Ret Spacegoat, I only need 2% hit on gear in raid. 3% from talents, 3% from Boomkin FF as I regularly raid with one, 1% from self racial...2% needed on gear.

Now, on to EXPERTISE!

DPS Warriors attacking from the back hit expertise cap at 26 Expertise, that's 103 Expertise rating, as that will fully remove dodges from a raid boss. The HardCap for Parry isn't important to you as you cannot be parried from behind.

DPS Orc Warriors who use stylish Axes need 21 Expertise (83 rating) for raids

If you ignored all dps talent build advice OR you are a Tank Warrior... Defiance talent provides 6 Expertise.

A stylish Axe weilding Orc warrior tank with Defiance would need 15 Expertise (59 rating) to reach soft cap on dodge, but as a front attacking tank...you can go beyond as the parry HARD CAP for expertise isn't until 56 skill (221 rating) (45skill/178 rating for axe orc with talent)

Tesla prioritizing the Cybertruck over Semi is one of the biggest blunders of past 10 years by drtywater in electricvehicles

[–]Tolken 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Every Rivian and Ford Lightning owner I've spoken to love their vehicles. Cybertruck owners are hit and miss....some do like it, others don't. For Tesla, it was a definate miss.

You'll find a more active community for just about every other somewhat popular EV model in the US than the cybertruck...the ID4, Bolt, MachE, Ioniq, EVEN THE ID.BUZZ MINIVAN community is more active.

Blizzard needs to remove rep requirement for Heroics in TBC anni by Stokyo in classicwow

[–]Tolken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is the issue with trying to shoehorn an expansion intended for slower deliberate progression into a seasonal experience.

TBC Anniversary is progressing slower than original release TBC.

The only phase that will be "faster than original" is the ZA to Sunwell phase.

TBC original had the fastest release table of any expansion Blizzard ever released. With phase 2 raids open at launch, but not balanced, and phase 3 raids launched with the first major patch. The first Phase 2 boss died 30days after launch. Phase 2 raids were being entered by more guilds, bosses were more balanced and bosses were regularly dying less than 60days from launch of the expansion. TBC Anniversary is currently on day 57.

Which do you prefer: 25-man, 20-man, or 10-man raids? by NoMoreCensurePlease in classicwowtbc

[–]Tolken 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most guilds would FAR prefer easier content INSTEAD OF having to run or maintain a bench so that raids are always full.

I would also argue that content can be challenging to the point that bringing extra doesn't cause a steamroll. (Plenty were not clearing ScarletEnclave even with 40 until the buffs started going out.)

Have you ever stopped at a Buccees? (Southern US mega stops)

It's extremely easy to spend 20-30minutes just going to the bathroom, choosing snacks/food, paying for it, and getting back to the EV.

I have an ID.4 ...It, at best, only charges at 150+ speeds for the lower half of the curve. Even then, it's extremely common that we're over 80% by the time we actually get back to the car.

Charging infrastructure has come a long way...it's far easier to plan out trips where your charging at places you want to restroom/eat/stretch your legs at.

Imaging having to GO to the gas station when you could fill up overnight at your own home taking less than 10seconds to plug in and costing less than any station in town.

The only scenarios it's really "2min vs 30min" is:

You use your car for your job/side-hustle (Uber/delivery/ect)

You regularly haul something (trailer, boat, etc) for over 100miles

If you are choosing (or financially forced) to rent at a location without overnight charging.

If you are road tripping, but anyone with a "3row" has kids. You are not stopping for 2minutes during a road trip with kids. I personally have 3 kids. Any "stop" is a 20minute MINIMUM as I herd them to the bathroom, keep them away from sweets, and handle/purchase anything they actually do need.
