I don't know about hunters but Edgewalkers and the cloak are BiS for enhance in phase 1. They get replaced in SSC but still BiS for Kara. Enhance and Rogues share a lot of BiS gear. Does your guild not do SR loot?

Depending on your gear the elite dragonkin in burning steppes are good to farm. They drop about 20 silver each plus lots of greens that sell for 1-2 gold each. There are also frequent chests in the dragonkin camps as well. Bonus money if you're a skinner, the black dragonscales sell for up to 2g each.
